This is the first time I've managed to read an entire english story in just 2 hours. Without your explanation, I wouldn't have been able to do that on my own. Thank you, Luke.
Yes, it can be difficult to understand speakers that are speaking quickly and running their words together. Although, the more you listen to native speakers, the easier it becomes.
Hello, dear teacher, I'm Sayed Elyas from Afghanistan and I follow your lesson on the youtube channel, I want to say to you, thanks a lot for improving our lessening skills
Hi Luke! I am Jiritha from Sri Lanka,I started to listen your podcast since last year in order to prepare for IELTS. In march, I completed my exam and I got 6.5 in speaking even though I couldn't practice with someone before the exam, instead I continued to listen your podcast until the last minute. Thank you for all the supports you give to English learners.🙏
Hi Luke. I love studying English with your podcasts. They make me feel better than never. I am a Brazilian man with the age of 72 and love so much being in touch with you through your videos. You are very funny in them. I love them very much. God bless you and all your family abundantly.
Hello from Ukraine ❤ Thanks for your Very distinctive English speech. Listening with great great pleasure. Awesome. Propose all my children for listening practice. Thank you 🙏
Hi Luke, I am a mother from Taiwan. My children did love Roald Dahl stories. I didn’t expected that I watched the whole video at one time after my breakfast when I just came to the channel at the first time! The story is extremely out of my imagination and your talking skill is attractive and easily understandable. I will watch other videos for more interesting topics and stories. It is exactly the way I want to be more familiar with English. Thank you for your works!
Luke,u are the best teacher in teaching English in such creative way tht i ever met i my life,i will by ur follwer after this.thks for the good story tht u has shared to us,well done ,luke
I have tried so many Audio stories , almost all failed but this person is unique. There is something in his voice and personality. He is the 3rd person I love to listen to. 1st is OSHO, 2nd is Sir David Attenborough.
Hi, Luke. I am writing to you from Gdańsk , Poland. Tkank you for your lessons, excellent pronounciation. I am Simply captivated and I enjoy listening to you. All the best to you and your family
The way you read the Stories is ever so cool! If I had had an english teacher Like you in school…..you are just the best. Thanx mate. Warm regards, Simone
Loved your way to tell the story.... Read it one go, then explain the vocabulary, then narrate your version of the story... It's like preparing for an exam...
Dear Luke, I bump into your account when I prepare my ielts test. It really helps me enrich my vocabulary. On top of that, I love your story telling with all of the context. Hope to see your video more
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing work you do on your RUclips channel. Your teaching style is engaging, informative, and truly inspiring. I have learned so much from your lessons, and I feel much more confident in my English abilities as a result. Keep it up the good work 🌹
The teacher’s pronunciation is accurate and clear, I can listen clearly every single word! Suggest all the English learners to subscribe this channel to polish our listening! Very good channel after listening for 3 days.
A great little story. These episodes of yours are much more entertaining than most of the films nowadays. Keep them coming and thanks for your labour of love.
@@LukesEnglishPodcast More, more, more stories, please. I am from Ukraine and now I am in another country, and I feel very uneasy and uncomfortable with my English. Your stories are very good, and your teaching skills are amazing. I have an English teacher, but I could not even compare them to you because you are far above them. I prefer video because I am a very bad listener, my mind often wanders, and when I see words, I can gather my attention again. I am a visual person. Let me explain. When I am listening to something, my mind sticks to one word, for example, you say "George's house," and I have a friend named George, and I start thinking about him, and oops! I am out of the plot. It never happens when I am watching video,. I need something to look at, and I really appreciate your acting skills. The way you tell stories and express emotions makes the story much more entertaining.
The first purpose I came in due to learning English better but now I watch the video for relax or decrease my stress somehow, frankly to say Luke is a guy with sincerity and kindness.
My grade three son thought it was a hard one and wanted to give up but I encouraged him to persevere and in the end he enjoyed it. He learned a lot of new words along the way. He also enjoyed reading comments.
Besides a lot of pleasure I got with the podcast and the story I MUST notice Luke's fantastic playing abilities particularly making a voices of heroes of the story and the stuff like saw, axe using sounds, white noise etc. 🙂
Hi,Luke! You are so good! you are the best English teacher on RUclips! I love this story!and I like the way that you told us! Thank you sooooo much!!! ❤❤❤
Hi !! I’m watching the videos from Argentina. They are great! I’m going to buy The Complete Short Stories by Roald Dahl, the books that Luke recommended. I watch you everyday during my breakfast time! Sorry for my English, it is not so good, I try to be better every time!!Byeee! I love England, I’ve been there twice years ago❤
Que buena forma de mejorar la comprensión escuchando historias. Me encanta escuchar la diferencia de acento entre el ingles americano y el británico, esa es la riqueza de un idioma . Gracias por tomarte el tiempo para enseñarnos.
Hi,Luke! I'm the Head of a Language School in Buenos Aires , Argentina. Your reading , explanation and even performance while reading were AMAZING! thank you SO much! I've already subscribed to your channel! ❤
Hello Luke, thank you so much for making these videos with short stories, you are absolutely BRILLIANT, a great actor and imitator! I have seen and listened to your Mountain and this RD eposode only, but I can´t wait to hear the rest that is here for me... This time I tremendously enjoyed Parson´s Pleasure, as Roald Dahl is in my view the best English short story writer (not speaking of his autobiography The Boy and Flying Solo!). To my big excitement you even inspired me to watch the Tales of the Unexpected - I didn´t know anything like that existed!!! I watch your videos instead of watching TV, it´s such delight and fun. Please continue. Lots of admiration for this not so easy job and love from Prague!👋👍
A real treat for our ears 👂, I’ve immensely enjoyed this episode, Luke! These kind of podcasts are an absolute pleasure to listen 🎧 to! Even more, when the author behind it is Roald Dahl! You have another one from him. I relished listening to that one too. Thanks 🙏 a million for your work and for sharing it here, on RUclips. Best wishes for your Easter Days!
Many thanks, Luke, for sharing the story "Parson's Pleasure." I have watched it twice and thoroughly enjoyed the show. It is truly an amazing story, and the way you presented it helped us understand its deeper meaning. The story imparts valuable lessons about honesty, fairness, and kindness. It reminds us that greed and selfishness can often lead to unexpected and undesired outcomes, as depicted by the antique furniture dealer in this story and in real life in general.
Luke's a nice teacher. I do enjoy his podcasts and the way he passes the information and explains the new vocabulary, it's incredible. I listen to him almost every day . I advise people to rewrite the story or the subject of any of his podcasts to persuade a better level in the language like I did. ❤❤
