Great video Paul, especially with the selection of the final run, I spent that time in the rear cab with the fitter. Going slightly nuts on the horn. Was a wonderful day.
Had lots of trips on the Intercity 125 from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington. They where comfortable to travel on.and it was good to get a cup of tea or coffee from the buffet car! They where a train of their time(!!) I like the new Hitachi 800s they're so much quieter.but the seats feel a little narrower.I suppose it's because they where first built in Japan,But no buffet car yet!
Lovely tribute video and very well edited. Sad to see them go but many lovely memories of my own trips aboard them, also from this special day. Great to see 43002 now taking centre stage within the NRM, also the Castle sets, but not the same as seeing them at Paddington and co. 👍
Gwr could've retired their last full length HST 43 years to the day of the first HST entered service and on a service from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington
@@SionsTrainVideos I didn't ask for an update on those locos. I was simply said that I was surprised that the 2 locos in previous operators' colours were NOT used
@@SionsTrainVideos 43002 in BR Blue & Yellow and 43185 in Intercity Swallow. I was surprised that they were not used on the Flying Banana Farewell Tour
Just found this. Very well produced. Shame my clip wasn’t used but I did get a glimpse of myself at Paddington so at least I feature in it 😃
Lovely video, thanks for creating and posting.

This HSTs are the most wonderful invention ever ❤ created in this country or the world 🌎 as we know it. Long it may live.............
I was on the last revenue earning LNER HST in the north on the 15th December and it was sad I didn't want to get off. Also fantastic video.

Love the bloke jumping at Reading 🤣🤣
34:43 I like that horn
I understand why the Rail Network Trains are called Flying Bananas, but why is the same name used for this train?

Suprised GWR didn't use power cars 43002 and 43185
@@SionsTrainVideos 43 185 is in Intercity Swallow colours. They used 43 198 which is in GWR Green

@@JackJackProductions 43198 and 43002 were used due to the fact that 43002 was the first 43 built and 43198 was the last to be built!
