Ok I was watching this video so excited for all of the potential this area could have, and then I thought of something. I have noticed that there is not a single creator that I have seen make 1 huge African savannah habitat. I feel like the savannah area could have one huge centerpiece with all the interspersed enrichment animals together in the middle of it, with different indoor houses for different sizes, and then on the outskirts there could be other animals such as the caracal and the cheetah and things like that, idk but I really feel like that would be absolutely amazing and when you come out of the jungle area you see this huge exhibit with different animals you would see in Africa, all in one huge exhibit! I have another suggestion that I thought of but it’s more like a mini section like the desert house. I noticed you didn’t put dingoes in the Australian area ( to be fair they probably wouldn’t fit in well there anyway) and I thought it would be cool if you made a section called canids of continents. In this section there would be three animals: the African wolf dog, the dhole, and the dingo. You could also add wolves or hyenas or other species similiar, especially if something new comes in a dlc. I really feel like those animals are unrepresented in most zoos, and making a section or education center dedicated to these types of animals would be stunning and unique. Thanks for this video and I can’t wait to see what you will cook up in the rest of Africa!❤❤❤
this is a good idea. some zoo has kids pet area for common farm animal like alpaca, llama, goat ect. so why not make area for canines. i would like to see the far far away cousin of my dog🤣
@@mariadanastri9734 yeah thanks! ❤️ I was also thinking that ZSH could add foxes such as the Finnic fox he couldn’t fit in the desert house and a red fox or arctic fox!
It’d be cool to see how different people would go about making a savanna habitat. A weird fact about hyenas is that they’re more closely related to felines than canines (though they’re not actually in either family).
One of the two African rhino species would be really cool for the savanna area, they're my favorite animals in this game. The African forest section also looks incredible already.
I'm new to Planet Zoo, and also Planet Zoo content, so this might be a pretty basic suggestion, but for an Africa exhibit, I love the idea of having red river hogs in as many habitats as they are compatible with. I've been playing the hame only a while, bit anytime I look at animals to include in an Africa exhibit, the little piggies seem to be on the list of things that are compatible. It's taken them from an animal I had no idea existed, to one I'm kind of starting to love I'm imagining a sign at the start of the Africa section, explaining how friendly they are, and then asking kids to see how many they can spot as they explore, then putting a small number in each exhibit they're safe to go in!!
Thanks! If you want to see where I learned most of it check out the North America episode of Planet Wild, it was built by Romanopulatious and he is a genius at it!
Im so happy that you have chose to build in your African zone because I have just started to build my African safari jeep tour in my franchise zoo .this will definitely help me find inspiration.😊
Absolutely love these videos. It has inspired me to play planet zoo again. Really excited to see the lion's habitat think a replica of the lion king's pride rock would look amazing.
If there is an animal, you're putting in here that isn't one you already said, I would like to suggest Nyala. We have them at my zoo, and they actually have three babies now. The last one was born a couple weeks ago. I don't take care of them, they're not on my feed list; however, I did bottle feed the male "Nigel" when he first came here three years ago. He actually came here when I was an intern during covid and we're still friends. Nyala in general are just really cool antelope and they would do great in an African savanna area. Also, I'm assuming you already have references and ideas, but if you are looking more, I would also suggest Bush Gardens Tampa. They have their "Edge of Africa" and it's the most impressive African savanna area I've seen in person. My favorite part of it is how in one area, you have the lions and hyenas "share" a cave and they are right next to each other and there is a moat behind them that guests can't see and beyond the moat is the big African savanna safari with all the hoof stock. My computer's wallpaper is the picture I took of the male lion there in the foreground with an eland and giraffe in the background. One in a million shot and now it's my wallpaper. Regardless, I'm super excited to see what you do.
You're such an amazing builder! I love following this series and look forward to every episode. Your African area already looks so good. I would love to see an African Elephant or a rhino or smth :)
I'm so excited for the okapis. they're one of my favorites! giraffes too! if you need inspiration for the okapis, Sacramento zoo has a fabulous brand new okapi exhibit where you walk on an elevated pathway into their exhibit.
Finally, we are going into Africa. Yeah, i think its a good idea to go to another area in the zoo after three episodes of Africa and then back again, else maybe people will get bored. I have a feeling the Sable Antelope gets underutilized as an animal for Africa, due to them not being as popular as other African ungulates in the game, so it would be cool to see it.
love this series so much been with it since day 1. I look forward to seeing Okapi and Bongo. they are such underappreciated animals and among my favourite hoof stock
i was thinking it would be so cool if that area with the exhibits here was closed in like a small cave/tunnel, i feel like it would really give that closed off feel you were going for and also feel more interactive for the guests if you put like tree roots coming through. awesome video as always!
I would love a Red River Hog exhibit and since their is tons and tons of safari animals like the basic Zebra and rhinos I think u should a safari area. Then another area for the “prey” deer animals
This is shaping up to be brilliant! You've already mentioned plans for some of my personal wants for an Africa section (wild ass, red river hog, hippo, okapi, caracal), but I'd also love to see builds for the cheetah and the pygmy hippo! Aardvarks make for great smaller filler animal in between the big savannah sections, similar to meerkats and fennec foxes. I also haven't seen a lot of PZ creators tackle dromedaries, so that would be cool - I feel like they offer a lot of potential for creative builds. You already have red river hogs, but maybe you could also fit in the warthogs in the savannah section? I feel like they are very underrated among PZ players. (At this point it would be easier to ask what not to include haha) I already adore your ideas with the forest section, can't wait to steal them! Coincidentally, after finishing my Oceania/SEA section that I have been building for the last year, I will now turn my attention to Africa, so your videos will come in quite handy 😂 Keep up the awesome work, can't wait to see what's next!
Really hyped for this huge African zone. Since you're asking for suggestions... I wouldn't suggest an animal per se, but I would really love to see an oasis! It could be multiple habitats, similair to how you did the Amazone river habitats, but it could also be just a beautiful piece of landscaping setting the scene for the shops and all that in the African zone? Or an oversized Dromedary habitat. Anyways, I am hyped as always! I am always looking forward to the arid zones as it shows creative rockworks
Yeah I think an Oasis part would be really cool. I have seen many zoos in the us such as the Bronx and the Columbus zoo and they have 2 sections for africa, the traditional Sahara and savannah animals, and then they have the Congo with gorillas, mandrills, okapis, red river hogs, Pygmy hippos. I think it would be cool if you added those animals to the jungle part like a Congo forest, then it goes out into the Savannah animals with rhinos, giraffes, and elephants, etc.
if I was going to suggest some African animals, I'd say Giraffes are a MUST, with your in game know how I'm sure you could rig up a feeding station where guests can get up close?

I was already excited to see the Africa area, because i know youre going to do all different aspects of Africa, not just savannah and desert. Its too big of a continent not to utilise all of its diverse environment.
If I remember right, you mentioned wanting the zoo to be accessible for i.e. wheelchair users when building the main entrance? If you want to be even more inclusive, maybe you could add some more secluded sitting areas for guests with mental disabilities that might get overstimulated? This very foresty area would work really well for that Of course that's not an actual concern in Planet Zoo, I just thought it would make it even more realistic :)
When you said elephants are coming to SBZ, what elephant species are you going to add? Are you going to add the African elephant or the Indian Elephant?
Hey I was wondering where the name sanbernardino comes from. Because I live in Switzerland and here there is a pass that is called so. Can it be that the name comes from there. Love your videos love greetings❤
None haha, they were originally a blueprint by fantastic builder called Zoove, I've modified them with Strangler Fig Roots and a few changes since. You can grab the originals on the workshop!
Hi! I don’t know if you will respond to this because I am very late. I am going to Singapore next week and am going to one of the zoos. I am torn between Singapore zoo and the night safari. Is it hard to see the animals in the night safari and are the enclosures at Singapore zoo small. These two things are what trip advisor says, are they true? And which one was your favourite?

If I remember right, you mentioned wanting the zoo to be accessible for i.e. wheelchair users when building the main entrance? If you want to be even more inclusive, maybe you could add some more secluded sitting areas for guests with mental disabilities that might get overstimulated? This very foresty area would work really well for that
Of course that's not an actual concern in Planet Zoo, I just thought it would make it even more realistic :)
I actually saw that stuff in Singapore Zoo! I'll try and include it when I put together the signs for this area
savanna elephant pls
Thanks for the suggestion!
When you said elephants are coming to SBZ, what elephant species are you going to add? Are you going to add the African elephant or the Indian Elephant?
Well, they’re coming to the Africa! area so… 😆
do you have any tips on building and decorating outside of a enclosure
None specifically, if you want planting tips check out my Planet Wild series it's all natural landscapes.

Hey I was wondering where the name sanbernardino comes from. Because I live in Switzerland and here there is a pass that is called so. Can it be that the name comes from there. Love your videos love greetings❤
Interesting! It’s a city in Southern California which I liked the name so I stole it 😆
Haha nice
I would like to see lions and elephants
Thanks for the suggestions!
What dlc do the mud walls come in?
None haha, they were originally a blueprint by fantastic builder called Zoove, I've modified them with Strangler Fig Roots and a few changes since. You can grab the originals on the workshop!
the giraffe zebra struisvogel an elphant andthe hyena
Thanks for the suggestions!
can you do african wild dogs. no one ever does them
Thanks for the suggestion!
If you can only do one then 100% do Singapore Zoo. It’s the best zoo I’ve ever seen. Night Safari is cool but doesn’t compare
@@ZSHplays Are the enclosures small because it is apparently “animal torture” there
@@Not_appletreein Singapore Zoo? Absolutely not, it’s awesome!
@@krisengine Is the elephant enclosure good aswell?
I wonder how much it would cost to build this place irl. I would put down 50mil to kick off the fundraising lol
I shudder to think how much haha!
Can you add the blank rhino in the zoo?😊
Thanks for the suggestion!
I remember when nearly got attacked by a Elephant in Africa
Wow that sounds exciting, what happened?
I was on holiday walking then a Elephant came up to me and started chasing me for no reason
