Ray lowkey has potential to be the fastest character in the game if the player is skilled enough to control him to the extent where you're beating acts in less than a minute. If you dont have that type of control over Ray's momentum then Sonic is still the fastest, I swear drop dash is one of the best abilities sega added to a Sonic game.
Do you ever copy paste inputs from a previous TAS when it's convenient? Like, for the special stages since they play the same no matter the character. Or would copying inputs actually end up being more of a hassle somehow?
No. To do it myself is easier than to copypaste, because you need to remember what starting and ending frame in both runs. And it impossible just copy inputs from one run to another.

I love Ray's SMW Cape flying glide, sure is better to control than Tails' flight.
