It took 2 years for the PS5 to be well-supplied in stores. Really crazy situation if you've followed system launches for the past 30 years.
And yeah people who look up info online to find out that Gamestop is getting a shipment of 5 units on a Tuesday and you can get one by camping outside of their store for 12 hours could get one. But that wasn't really doable for regular people with actual jobs and lives.

I didn't have a PS5 when I had thise dream, nor knew what color the box was gonna be. I had a dream, me and my family went to Best Buy and I saw a truck load of PS5s on sale in a display case. They were in a black box, so knowing nothing about which PS5 went to which box, I waited patiently for my local Rent-A-Center to get theirs and be the first one to recieve one. This was the standard edition in the white box. Little did I know, I dreamt about getting the Digital Edition at that Best Buy instead.

My pre order experience is sitting at home and waiting for the amazon delivery
Mine was sitting at home on Sep 17 looking at Twitter finding out people got their PS5 per order than I went on to the Target website and was refusing. Until I got my PS5 disc version.
I kind of wish I would have gotten PS5 ps5 digital edition since it is rarer. I thought I thought that PS5 disc version was going to be rarer.

I can't wait to purchase my disc version PS5 next year. I don't think either console is worth $500, expecially when there is currently only a handful of ps5 titles even available. Sure they are probally pretty good games. But they are titles I would not even buy (at least not at full retail price) if they were PS4 games. I would just be buying then because they are the only one currently out.
And now they’re worth around 700 -800 because stock is much more low smh
@@vnkdabaz3513 Lol, no it's not. I literally paid retail price for mines at Best buy a year ago back last Oct. And I literally just bought another one directly through PS Direct for a friend just 2 months ago for retail price (no stupid bundles either). It was very easy to get (they were up for sale for like 3-4 days too before selling out). I actually ended up shipping the console back to PS store because friend changed his mind about wanting it and didn't give me the money for it. I also had another opportunity to buy one from another retail store some time after that. I have to say, a PS5 is even easier to get now for retail than it was back when I got mines.

They are no longer worth $700-$800 anymore because Sony has sped up production of the Horizon Forbidden West PS5 bundles (I see them being restocked often)

Today I finally got a ps5 and it was bundled with god of war Ragnarok, I saw they had some ps5s on the GameStop website but I forgot about it later and when I checked today all the ps5 versions were sold out, I went to Walmarts website to check out the deals and noticed when I clicked on the Ragnarok bundle it said add to cart and it hadn’t been sold out I was so surprised I immediately bought it, I even saved some money because since it was bundled with Ragnarok it was cheaper than buying a regular ps5 and Ragnarok separately. I’m so happy I finally have one!
