Yeah, i played this level on mobile and because of this issues i restarted twice, also if you jump on 2nd part right after first spinning rectangle you will fall under textures somehow
i can't even play the level lmao, i can only get to the title screen and when it loads it drops to 3 fps then dies
once i fell under the map xd
i can't even move properly, i press W and it either moves forward and to the left/right at the same time, or literally backwards. and A/D are sometimes inverted for me
wait until gd players figure out that the rating really boils down to how robtop feels that day and nothing more
Facts. There should be more objective standards and tbh more people than rob should decide if a level gets mythic or not

I honestly think robtop adding legendary and mythic ratings was a huge mistake. All that has come out of these existing so far is just insane amounts of drama because nobody can come to the same conclusion on what levels deserve what rating. I kind of miss how simple it used to be when a level could either be rated or featured and thats it

The majority of people can come up with a valid conclusion, the problem is though, robtop doesnt like being the majority.

I mean, legendary rating is meant to be “normal mastery” and mythic rating is meant to be “true mastery”.

My understanding is that 3Depth was made to act as an engine for 3d levels, so in the future 3d levels may be somewhat commonplace, so if 3Depth was mythic, it would set the standard so that all 3d levels would be mythic. I think Rob wants for mythics to stay rare, because then people could just churn out mythic levels by making OK 3D ones. Most rated 3D levels might end up being epic because they are not the first, but some amazing ones could get mythic.

People forget that there is more than 240hz pcs that you can play geometry dash on, 60hz mobile was the original, and is the laggiest, and the buggiest

boo hoo? there are so many levels that run like shit on mobile. so many creators make levels on pc for pc not for mobile since mobile can't run things very well. just because it doesnt run well on mobile doesnt mean it shouldnt get the rating it deserves. suck it up
i play on 60hz and i don’t have any lag in that level
@user-ym3cw3dx6k I have a pretty bad phone but it can run change of scene without any frame drops, even WHAT is not a big problem, so that's not true.
When i played 3depth on my phone, it was very hard to play because i was lagging so much to the point that i cant even move
Another factor that people need to consider why the level didn’t get a mythic is Mobile, if people have a hard time with level on mobile due to complex controls and bad optimization then it fails to be a mythic. Reminder What didn’t get Epic rating because of how laggy the level was on mobile
And some people have bad performance on towerverse. Also means we could never get a level as revolutionary as what because of the lag. Instead inducing optimisation and slowing down new levels
I don’t think that is entirely the level’s fault, as all platformer levels run into that issue on mobile. It really will come down to rob making the decision to find a way to fix that issue. Maybe allowing for creators to make a preset position of the buttons or whatever. And mobile is just laggy in general, I play on mobile and don’t really find much of an issue, and if you are playing on a phone, what do you expect.

I think 3Depth plays really well and has very intuitive controls. Since I am a mobile player, I think my opinion holds priority /j
Many 2p platformer levels don’t play well on mobile so 3Depth was a pleasant surprise.

The fact that the towerverse is mythic but 3deapth isn’t like what! Towerverse looks like something I could make!
That's kinda why it's mythic. Robtop considers it revolutionary. He thinks that towerverse will change how people make levels. If you make a level similar to towerverse, you are only further proving his point.

Have you looked at the INSANE amount of details and polishing in The Towerverse? The saving animation, the different emotions for every dialog box, the storyline, the gimmicks - and all of that executed across a good HOUR of playtime? I actually think a level is better when you need to look at it twice to see its qualities, as it is a sign of a lot of dedication from the creator and shows that it was propably not just made to impress people.

It has some details, but story feels childish, effects and colors are really cheap, gameplay doesn't have anything we haven't seen before, adds nothing new, some things even makes me get frustrated

Really, Towerverse is not bad, at all, but for me, The Towerverse is not something i think i can do, IS SOMETHING I CAN DO LOT OF TIMES BETTER, and i'm not that good making levels, really, The Towerverse feels really cheap and rushed in front of levels like White Space from Xender Game
I feel like this is the first time playability actually went into the rating of a level, but if this is going to be more important in the future I'd really appreciate it actually
I had an Idea to fix the rating system, or more specifically the rarity/feature system.
level rarities could have Tiers. for the diversity, each feature level would have 10 different tiers, with a unique sprite for each tier, serving as a transition between level ratings, the tiers would look identical, but be more flashy versions of themselves basically.
for example, if a level is almost a mythic, nearly perfect, but lacking in some areas, it could have a tier 10 legendary rating instead, which would mean it's nearly perfect enough to be legendary.
and if a level is revolutionary and jaw dropping, but lacks in gameplay or something, it could have mythic, but the tier could be lower to show that it's lacking.
plus, robtop could give the godlike faces to the tier 10 mythic design, i think that would be cool.
Every once in a while, there's always a random new controversy in this community.

To the people who say there’s problems and bugs with it, the Towerverse also had that and it got mythic…
To be completely honest, people aren’t appreciating the OST and the difficulty of creating 3D levels. It is nearly impossible if not completely impossible in Vanilla, there’s need to be some sort of code. Overall, I think the level deserves Mythic, The Towerverse didn’t nail everything perfectly, the balancing between some parts, the story could be a bit confusing and that just proves Colon isn’t saying quite the truth here.
Although the first rate of any rating (whether it’s Epic, Legendary or Mythic or featured I guess), it’s always worse than what it actually deserves, so I don’t know.

Rob forgets that the first mythic was a level only available to people with a certain skill level and everyone else just had to except that they might not finish it (myself included) and 3depth even though it can be laggy on some devices everyone can still play and beat this amazing level.
Edit- most device models that came out in 2019 or after will run it just fine on low definition mode.
People don’t seem to complain about how by spunix or whatever its called getting featured, but now nearly the exact same thing happens and its a big deal? i think depth got legendary for the same reason how got featured, lag.
the lag was pretty bad on my laptop and phone for WHAT, but I've seen a lot of people saying 3depth wasn't laggy at all on their phones
Exactly, the reason WHAT then got epic anyways is propably that it compensated the lag with an incredibly high quality - and 3Depth doesn't really go above and beyond.
@FRBFStudios how does 3depth not go above and beyond??? its literally an entire 3d engine anyone can use in a 2d game, which is a lot more above and beyond than any other mythic or legendary rated level

In my opinion it’s not that this isn’t mythic, I feel it has pretty much the same quality as towerverse, towerverse being generally good in every area, and 3Depth being really unique and cool but lacking in other areas. What I’m trying to say is that they should just both be legendary

I think people are getting too worked up over these rating tiers, you should strive to make fun levels, not a subjective rating; I don't think Legendary and Mythic ratings were a bad feature by themselves, but rather the way people perceive them compared to Robtop

I agree with it being a legend rate. Mythic rating should nail everything down on what a REALLY good level is. But 3depth definitely fails on optimization.

Honestly, Colon makes a good point and I agree with it. Legendary is good for levels that are super unique are are just good overall. Godlike should be given to the true masterpieces, true works of art, the God's creations.
With that said, it's still always up to Robert Topchan to make the final judgement. Community only helps rig the vote a little bit.

At least it comes really close to it, if you look closely and take your time to enjoy the level, you can see so many hidden details and it is clear that the creator put a lot of work into polishing it. The little "saving" animation in the corner, the incredibly smooth dialog boxes that always show a different emotion, the original storyline the level came up with, the facts that you can talk to almost every NPC and that every part has a unique and mostly fun gimmick - and all of that executed with consistent quality across a good HOUR of playtime. The base deco isn't the only thing that defines a level's quality, and it also can't be as much RobTop bias than it was with Coaster mountain since I don't think the creator of The Towerverse is as big of a name of Serponge, so there has to be something more objective about it. 3D levels were a thing before and will also still be made, 3Depth is just a little bit more polished (but still has a lot of bugs). It is crazy good and hard to make, yes, but it doesn't really try anything new just like most legendary levels, take And Ever as an example - it looks really good, but that is pretty much it. (sorry for the lengthy reply)

GD Colon is completely right, I found a lot of bugs in 3Depth, and it just wasn’t fun to play in general
