Wondering why you'd stargaze with weird binoculars? We have a video: • What's the deal with f...
That looks like a fantastic equipment. I use a ST120 modified to attach an economical celestron binoviewer (removed the metal flange and 3d printed one that allows me to push the focuser a little into the ota). Yours is basically a binocular made of two telescopes (more light grasp). I like the versatility you offer with it (filters, aperture masks, mounting). Seems like a well thought out product. I still can't say "shut up and take my money", lol, but I'll be following this with interest! Best of luck!
Hi and well done, you are obviously passionate and working hard to get this business built up and established asap. I will watch your product development with interest, and seriously consider making a purchase in near future as I learn more about the product(s). The world needs more innovators like you, it drives real progress across the economic and social board.
Kind Regards, Wes.
Wow, this is great! Just preordered the HeartI Just like Worf @17:52, my mind is blown!
I'm not in the market for a binocular scope at this time, but I've looked through a bunch at star parties. I will say that you have come up with an innovative design and I appreciate all the thought you've put into the ease of use on this. It's great to see that companies are willing to put in the time and thought to coming up with something new, instead of just the same-old same old (meaning, everything comes out of the same factory overseas with different branding on it). Great job.
@@BirdFinder Thanks! We are also thinking about a 45-degree compact birding binocular that uses prisms for correct image and zoom eyepieces so maybe we can help you find birds in the future.
I met you at GSSP and i had a chance to look through your set up. I had little expectation from 80mm device (okay, it is bino, so it is around 120mm) but it blew my mind. I saw so much more then with my 6 inch dob
I am curious what kind of eyepieces you used. I am interested to see how much will it cost to reproduce your setup
Looks interesting but I don't understand.....Whats the difference or advantage over regular premium 80mm binoculars that don't have chromatic abbreviation, is gas sealed and is weatherproof from companies like celetron?
That's a great question, so we made you a video: ruclips.net/video/jKPGw3s3mvI/видео.html Weatherproofing/sealing: We don't stargaze in the rain or toss our stargazing binoculars in the boat so when "astronomy" binoculars are weatherproofed it's because they were terrestrial binoculars before they got a space logo on them. There aren't really weatherproofed telescopes. Sealed eyepieces are great though because we tend to keep our eyepieces in cases that can lock in a ton of humidity and ruin the eyepieces.
What happened to that newtonian binoscope you were working on?
3D printer put to good use!
These look fantastic! Any chance of a 100mm or 120mm version in the future?
@@mbaddah We want to provide a system of models with significant jumps in focal length and aperture so the next model will be 200mm mirror-based. However we are considering a 100mm H-alpha solar binocular using a type-2 PST mod.
@@AnalogSky wow! 200mm yes please 😍 I'll look forward to the announcement and ready my wallet :D
pay 900 bucks for a "beginner" tele? Seriously? Well, good luck with that...
Heart is great for beginners and great for people who have been stargazing their whole lives. We invite everyone to compare features and pricing to literally every 80mm commercial binocular telescope available. This preorder launch is for people who already understand the power of an instrument like this but we'll be releasing more videos to explain the views through Heart to a general audience. What would you like to know?
I don't think it's a beginner's tool. For 80 mm, 900 is fine.
@@AnalogSky You don't actually make the difficult bits though like the lenses or eyepieces or mirrors so these comparisons aren't very relevant. Making a plastic tube isn't advanced engineering.
@@backgammonbacon cool man 👍
@@backgammonbacon So as it turns out, the mirrors, lenses and eyepieces are commodity items and can be purchased many places. The innovation in this project is using COTS parts combined with 3D printing of a very clever and original design is what makes it beautiful.. A little more than a "plastic tube" I'd say. Can we see your designs that are better?
