Ahh the way Gertrude describes her death is genuinely beautiful, like you said. I keep wondering, does Claudius truly love Gertrude? He keeps suggesting he loves her, using it as a rationale for his inaction against Hamlet's crime, but immediately after saying that he goes on planning Hamlet's death?

Hi Olivia. I think he probably does love her, but he loves himself more. He's a Dark Triad Type. He will put himself above ALL other considerations, even above someone he loves.
