Love Kate’s quirky sense of humor. Wonderful comic timing.
Beautiful Kate Jackson 🌹🌹🌺
Kate Jackson my favorite star
What an angel she was!! KJ
The best!
I enjoyed watching this..love Kate Jackson..but comedian was hilarious!
At 11:20 that: "cheeseburger, cheeseburger" was a bit on 'Saturday Night Live' at that time. That's why the audience laughed at it.
Holy crap... Thx for pointing that out! I missed it.. Freakin hilarious
It was Kate who initiated it. Wish Andrew had let her speak more.
@@nomiddlenamenmn427 Right! Andrew was so annoying! Kate was a huge star at the time. He wasn't. She said it was a mistake to marry him and she corrected that mistake. Unfortunately he took a lot of her money!! What a loser!
Thank you so much for uploading this!!1 I thoroughly enjoyed this, seeing Kate Jackson and Andrew Stevens together again, and then the late ChadEverett and then topping it off with Aretha Franklin. I'm quarantined and unemployed, but you made it much better. I am officially following your page. More Mike Douglas' shows, hopefully. Thank you again!!
Thank you.
Kate Jackson came out and said the reason she divorced Andrew Stevens, was
He was more interested in my money than me.
I agree. I haven’t heard much about David, but I have wondered about Tom Hart. He and Kate seemed genuinely in love.
She sure loves red. Pretty Kate.
She looked great in bright colors; red, yellow and white
Kate Jackson was smoking hot back then.
Thank you for posting this❣️
Tv used to be so much more fun in the old days!!!!! 💫✌️
Mike Douglas is the daytime version of Johnny Carson. He and Phil Donahue were the pioneers of daytime television
That was fun! Thanks for uploading it. I especially enjoyed the behind the scenes parts which are normally edited out for commercial breaks.
Mike Douglas: THAT 70s show!
I used to play basketball with Andrew for many years 🏀
Excellent,thank you!!
Yesterday was so intimate, so real and Aretha. I miss my Queen.
Thanks a lot !
Nice to see Kate Jackson in something else besides Angels.
What a opening show and rich sound.
THIS WAS WHY MIKES SHOW DID NOT WORK IN HOLLYWOOD BECAUSE IT WAS JUST ANOTHER SHOW BUT IN PHILADELPHIA IT WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL.
DID ANYONE AT THE BEGINNING THINK THAT WAS JOHNNY CARSON COMING OUT FROM THE BACL CURTAIN. GIVE IT ANOTHER LOOK.
THANKYOU THOUGH TO WHOEVER UPLOADED THE WHOLE SHOW WITH NO CUTAWAYS.
DID YOU WORK FOR THE SHOW TO ACQUIRE THIS MASTER?
I remember watching this show, mostly earlier versions than this one. Never heard Ms. Franklin's Ladies Only. Everyone trying to get on the disco train. That train never left the station. Her talent transcended disco, should have just left it alone.
But as a commercial singer, you have to follow the trend of the day or you will flop. I'm sure her people demanded her to venture there. Thank God she eventually left it alone.
Awesome video
I’m just trying to figure out when Vinnie Trombetta changed from soprano sax to tenor sax on the closing theme.
Andrew Stevens was so bossy and full of himself! I'm sure Kate hated that. He was no match.
Their marriage barely lasted 3 years. Sadly, all of Kate's marriages never made it past the 3 years mark. I hope she is happy now. Her adopted son is now in his late 20's.
@@JP5466 Yeah, I hope so, too. Her son turned 25 last September. Kate and Andrew had known each other only for 6 weeks and then got married. It's a pity she never met Mr. Right. But better to live by herself than to be with the wrong person. That's not worth it.
I didn't like him but after learning he'd been married to her I liked him even less. They just didn't match.
I believe he did a number on Kate. I believe he used her in a lot of ways to try to advance his own career. I was brought up in Alabama. I never knew of anyone who ate brains and eggs. Repulsive.
Mike Douglas had a similar voice as Al Martino
I saw an interview where Chad said he didn’t want to be a major movie star once he had a family. He didn’t want to be away on location for more than a couple of weeks at a time. If he did on occasion have to be away, he tried to have his family join him.
is that Richard Simmons in the dance class behind Jane Fonda
chad everett he was a beast to woman
Jay Stewart on the opening announce. The next season, he was replaced by Charlie Tuna.
Ladies Only was from Aretha's last and poorest selling album on Atlantic Records! Hearing this I clearly can see why! Oh my! 😳
Super interesting ! We can see things du ring ads ! How does it possible ??
Got any episodes with Chaka Khan in them?
7:48 The South has arrive! I eat black eye peas
Never heard of anyone who eats brains and eggs, though - gross.
@@nomiddlenamenmn427 nope. I think Andrew Stevens was just being sarcastic.
@@thunderlightning1980 Oh, okay. Dry wit. Thank you.
the announcer the late jay stewart
Andrew Steven's, mmm, odd choice. Not exactly from an acting dynasty. But I'd ck out "Topper" for K.J..
Talk shows have changed - for the better! Kind of rude to round up these varied personalities like a bunch of extras.
Okay, this was painfully dumb, but to claim daytime talk shows are any better since is massive delusion! Mike Douglas was usually better in this era and definitely before. He let the show get out of hand with sillyness. But do you really think ELLEN is better than this?!
@@FungusMossGnosis No you're absolutely right they all STINK toady, I just meant with regard to lumping entertainers together by the busload, seems insulting looking back on it. I saw a RUclips vid of The Dick Cavett Show with Janis Joplin & Raquel Welsh as guests together. So awkward it was hard to watch. I couldn't sit thru an Ellen show if i was strapped into a chair!
@@MelodyMeanFace The ‘60s and ‘70s were wild. I remember Glen Campbell saying you never knew who was going to show up on talk and variety shows. I loved the spirit of freedom back then. It was like if Charo wanted to sing opera or I Will Survive, there was an audience to cheer her on.
Kate Jackson is a reputable woman
not a nice outfit for aretha
All Good Guest except for Jane Fonda Traitor To America.
Boring workout. And Jane Fonda belongs in Viet Nam with her buddies there. If not there then you know where for a traitor.
