Her phone rang, and she quickly picked it up, feeling excited. It was Kevin. “Hi, Kevin! Are you on your way?” she asked. “Hey, Mary. I’m really sorry,” Kevin said. “I bought this retro game console at the flea market yesterday, and it’s amazing. I can’t stop playing, so I won’t be able to come tonight.” “Kevin, it’s Christmas! You can’t-” “Next time, I promise. Merry Christmas!” Kevin interrupted and hung up. A few minutes later, her phone pinged with a text from Sara: "Mary, I feel so bad, but I’ve decided to go to another party. I hope you understand. Merry Christmas!" Mary clenched her jaw and muttered, “Of course. Merry Christmas to you, too.” Just then, her phone rang again. This time, it was Lucy. “Lucy! Are you almost here?” Mary asked hopefully. “Mary, I’m so sorry. I was making honey-glazed ham to bring, but I burned it! It’s completely ruined. I’m too embarrassed to come now.” “Lucy, you don’t need to bring anything. Just come!” Mary said quickly. But Lucy sighed deeply. “I can’t, Mary. I’ll make it up to you next time, I promise.” And with that, she hung up. Mary sighed, putting her phone down. She glanced at the snow outside. It was beautiful, but it only made the house feel emptier.

December 17th 2024 I have plans this evening. Now I'm on my way to meet friend. It's freezing outside!! My hands are numb.. My lips are chapped and dry. I can't feeĺ my face. I get cold easily. I'm not a fan of cold winter. Bundle up and stay warm!!!!
