I consider myself to be a very devout Christian, yet I think a faith is a pathetic excuse to stop a band performing. One's belief should *NEVER* get in the way of one's taste in music. As I say, I am a practicing Christian yet Cannibal Corpse are one of my favourite metal bands. I use my Christian faith to be good and kind towards others and would never go around preaching it in the wrong way to anybody at all. I love Cannibal Corpse because they kick ass. Simple. If people are really that offended by the music, don't go to the gig and don't listen to the band. Straightforward enough.
I understand protests against Deicide,Behemoth,Belphegor and similar because satanic lyrics and bashing christianity but Cannibal Corpse? Just brutal death metal, nothing to do with religion, it's like really gore slasher horror movie..
They are the ones preaching 'in the right way' .. That character in the bible demands subservience and destruction of what it says is wrong . You are cherry picking from an authoritarian iron age cult and trying to make it fit .

I find the Video Kind of confusing as to who's who and what's what.Obviously I recognise the guys from CC.It all depends I suppose how seriously you take their lyrics.I read some of them briefly and find them to be stomach-churningly mind-twistingly monstrous.The band themselves say it's just art,that it's needed to "compliment" the brutal Death Metal,and they don't seriously mean a word of it.When interviewed they seem like genuinely nice sensible approachable dudes.So I don't know how to comment.But any Christian who attacks CHRISTIAN metal is way out of line and those Christians who do that I really despise for being so misguided.And there's plenty of Christian extreme metal.I so hope the guys in CC come to know Christ as Lord and Saviour and choose to glorify Him with their incredible Talent,instead of all this violence-for-the sake-of-it and sexual Perversion b.s.
