You're so right to get emotional. Not that you need permission! Lol Divine Beast Dancing Lion is probably the most beautiful and epic fights I've ever experienced. The soundtrack is so good. Miyazaki has given us a DLC most AAA's couldn't execute as a full game. So excited Fanta is back!
I have to say the Divine Beast without summons was incredibly difficult, one of my favourite fromsoft bosses for sure. The soundtrack really portrays this last vestige of an extinct civilisation attempting to take revenge one last time.

I would seriously recommend equipping a great rune, in my experience having everything you can to boost defenses is paramount in the DLC the damage is crazy even from regular enemies

EPIC boss fight. You had a smile permanently on your face, as did I. The game is stunning, as were you, your Tattoos really complemented your top/Dress.

I had forgotten the pain of losing all my runes over the last year. This DLC re-acquainted me with that pain quickly. 😿

I love how surreal the experience was for you on your first dive into the DLC. Likewise! A bit sad you haven't started to read the item descriptions, discovering things yourself and interpreting the game's lore adds a new depth to the experience!

Your fun and entertaining to watch. The one thing that I could stress is, you need to heal more often. always try to keep your health topped off, even if you’re in the middle of a fight. Most people get caught up in the fight and forget to check their health real quick and heal, especially if you’re only getting killed.

I wanted to 100% the DLC before watching any playthroughs, so I’m very excited to finally be able to catch up now!! You’re doing quite well for NG+, i think the blessing upgrades really help you out during this playthrough and make it a little less brutal
this dlc is everything and more and then some and im so here for this playthrough and playing it myself fully

Glad to see you and Fanta are back on elden ring. I will say without spoiling anything that there is a way to get to the upper levels of that first town you came to but I shall say nothing more. Can’t wait to watch your play through in full as it progresses

Oh man, being in tears because of how awe-inspiring the lion dancer is. She's just like me FR. 😭Seriously though, what an epic boss fight, I think the lion dancer might have actually dethroned Placidusax as my absolute favourite boss in the game so far. What a way to open the DLC.
Wanted to offer just a couple of tips though - you don't need to be so concerned about levelling up so much as finding the Scadutree and Spirit Ash blessings. The difference they make to your survivability is huge and are explicitly how you are expected to deal with the enemy scaling in the DLC. You have to explore the map to find them, as they aren't marked explicitly on the map in any way. Definitely investigate any structures visible on the map, and keep your eye out for any grave sites with a little man holding a large pot over his head. The pot contains a Scadutree blessing and the enemy will run from you and try to bury the pot.
Also idk if you are interested in trying out any of the new weapon types, but there is a weapon in a small structure just down and off to the right of the fire giant on the Gravesite Plain that would be so worth trying out. The skill is definitely right up your alley and it's much faster and nimbler than the curved greatsword, and the moveset is great fun. Ngl it was a bit funny watching you continuously panic-spam bloodhound's finesse...with zero finesse and whiffing like 90% of the time. 😂
@8:34 fanta why didnt you just get your runes, it was just sitting there on the floor! lol
little tip from me: search for all the sedutree fragments you can get and use them. And there are some of those shadow guys that sparklew a bit and have a pot on the head. They are guaranteed to drop either revered ashes or scadutree fragments the first time ou kill them. And expolre as much as you can.

Well had to stop at the 30 min mark. I haven’t entered any of the legacy dungeons yet. Spent 4 hours exploring the open map and finding smaller dungeons.
I love how unforgiving and beautiful this dlc is. Ofc no spoilers, but Emma it KEEPS GETTING BETTER
And it was then, when the first kukri was equipped and thrown, in that moment, that was when we truly knew Fanta was BACK! Hecks yeah!

Life as an astrologer is so much less stressful in the shadows ! no constant dodging ... getting hit by enemies and dyin all the time .

i have played a few hours of the game. i will say one thing and you probably have already felt it. the dlc is harder. if u get stuck dealing not so much damage and get 2 shot by a major dungeon boss, u can try your luck exploring the open world more. theres a bunch of stuff that can get u a bit stronger! i am currently at level 4 for scadutree and reverend spirit ashes at character level 130 and the enemies can still mess u up if you arent careful.
When i first spawned into the dlc,i looked up behind me and noticed an item shiny..thats what set me on my first adventure in the dlc to try and get to it,and on my way in the mausoleum was my first boss fight aswell.

Dang I was kinda hoping you wouldn't go straight into Belurat so I could watch the whole video, but had to stop about 40 mins in 😅 The day is SO LONG and all I can think about is Elden Ring! I explored basically the whole mapped area and a bit off it, before heading into Belurat so I'm only as far as the small altar grace site. Just physically waiting for work to be over so I can jump back into it.
Also imo, don't feel discouraged by being in NG+1, I'm playing on NG with my original character from 2022 at level 180 and most enemies will still 2-shot me if I'm not careful. The NG+1 scaling seems pretty marginal. Lol the Royal Greatsword and Shard Spiral/Adula's Moonblade are hard carrying for me rn 😅
Im Ng+2 level 200 and ... well... its.. hmm HARDDDDDD 😂😂😂😂 as a 99 int. Mage I got humbled real quick! Love it tho.

Ps. I love the flavour Text of the "silver horn tender" u found. I love the gloryfication of the "horns" as a marker of honor. Whats "cursed" among the golden order is here a sign of dignity and faith. Makes me feel so sad about the Omen-twins.... its cruel how an attribute can be a grace in one society whilst a disgrace in another... poor boys were born and raised in the wrong place ❤

@Emmalition I do think you've made a mistake IMO starting from New Game Plus, because the difficulty increases.
When I start my playthrough, I am NOT going to start from my New Game Plus but rather a new game beginning.
From the videos I've seen of Shadow, the difficulty is cranked up!
