Lee Jaeyeong said she was confident with her back attack the most and i'm really agree with it. 17:22 the pipe attack was so beautiful. After consecutive defend/save she did then end the rally with that beautiful pipe attack. Even the commentator was amazed with it. She is short for a volleball player but all her attack are so powerful.
Korea is good at attacking and defending. But it's very difficult to block, because the Chinese player's speaker range is much higher. And China has Zhu Ting, the world's best speaker.
Lee Ja Yeong was hitting extremely well against much taller and powerful chinese blockers. See how high she was leaping to do a cross court or pipe atrack...
If we look at chinese player all OH are above 1.90 m . Zhang changning No.9 is 1.93 m. Zhu Ting No. 2 is 2.0 m and OPP Gong No.6 is 1.86 m is a better OPP then Kim Heejin. The towering attacking MB Yuan No. 1 is 2.0 m tall. Why Lee Jaeyrong can bypassed them?? If you observe, Chinese player do not leap very high in blocking due to their height advantage. So Lavarini using Jaeyeong to exploit the gaps of low leaping tall blockers

there are so many good spikers whose bodies are not too tall like LJY.. but when the block is very weak because the opposing player hits the ball above the block

The problem with Korea in this match was that their setter wasn't able to maximize their hitters like the attacks are so easy to read since none of the middles are utilized, they should have been founded first
Yang Hyojin was underperform during world cup due to the reason that her style of attacking had been banned by Lavarini because it didn’t suited Lavarini play style. If you watch her performance in Hillstate she prefers a medium to high set in the middle. She like attacking straight through the middle. For the few seasons, I have watched her play, I have never seen her run a single slide attack. For Lavarini style if you watch all Korea world cup matches for MB it's from quick short toss or back slide. Yang Hyojin style isn't that effective against taller team with high blocking. Plus you have great OH like KYK n LJY on the NT. But during Tokyo Olympic AVC in 2020, Lavarini had allowed the used of YHJ’s middle high ball attack due to the small opponent although it didn’t fit with his strategy that why if you watch Korea 2020 AVC matches, LDY had set the ball more to YHJ compared to here. YHJ also scored more during AVC
