    Just saw that I had missed part one which explains it all: from California to New York! That was one lucky Harris family! Indeed the trip of a lifetime! Maybe an idea to take the same route in summertime! I'll keep it in mind for sure!!! Really enjoyed it, thanks for uploading these little gems off the past.

      I believe these Home Movies were taken on the Farm of Clarence & Stella Harris who lived on Meadow Dale Rd in Winfield, WV.
      Clarence Wayne Harris (1898-1961)
      Estella "Stella" Bird (1898-1966)
      Daughter: Barbara "Babette" Grace Harris Carroll (1920-2006)
      Son: David W. Harris (1923-1988)
      Daughter: Mary Olive Harris Bradley (1925-1987)

    That must have been a great vacation! especially for 1940 and all by car? 9500 miles? Unbelievable. Do you have any background information on their holiday? Where did they start? Somewhere around New York? But did they finish in Utah? Would love to know some more about this family!

    I believe these Home Movies were taken on the Farm of Clarence & Stella Harris who lived on Meadow Dale Rd in Winfield, WV.
    Clarence Wayne Harris was born on August 2, 1898, in Winfield, West Virginia, to Valanestine A Harris, age 23, and Harry Loman Harris, age 26.
    Clarence had one son and two daughters with Estella "Stella" Bird between 1920 and 1925.
    His daughter Barbara "Babette" Grace was born on May 12, 1920, in Mercer, West Virginia.
    His son David W. was born on August 6, 1923, in West Virginia.
    His daughter Mary Olive was born on November 9, 1925, in Fairmont, West Virginia.
    Clarence died on September 8, 1961, in Fairmont, West Virginia, at the age of 63, and was buried there.
