Me and Johnny Carson song on an Acetate Record, possibly a Demo?
Another Acetate Demo record, no information on who is singing this or if it was released. Sounds like it could have been a hit!

I have no idea if this was ever released commercially, Shazam can't find it and a search on the title turns up nothing. I'm sure RUclips will let me know. It was recorded at the Wren Music Co. on Vine Street in Hollwood. When I don't know, but the style sounds like the 1960s.

Erv & Earle using a home recorder to lay down a classic comedy sketch. The disc is damaged slightly at the beginning, so I had to give it some help with my thumb for a little bit.
Poppies...Poppies!!

Found home movie of the San Clemente Tritons Marching Band, also a brief clip of some Auto Racing and Cats. 1967 is a guess based on the cars in the video.

Some type of festival involving Easter Eggs, Giant Kites and Roasted Pig. Possibly an Easter celebration. Mid 60's cars.

Very Good 💕🎼🎸🎼
It just needs a lonesome train and a pickup truck, then it's the greatest country song of the 20th century!
Nice Newcomb
These folks must have been loaded coming out of the Great Depression; a very nice house. Where exactly is this?
They were the Owners of the Harris Department store in San Bernardino, so yes, they were loaded! 😅
Cool. Awww memories. Thanks. Riverside will never be like that again. Now homeless high taxes traffic and stop signs everywhere. Cars line the streets in neighborhoods. Schools over crowded. Etc…
Our family experienced a similar situation. Our house was located behind San Bernardino Valley College on Scott St. SBVC wanted to extend their campus so they paid the whole block to relocate so using that same method our house was moved to Colton this was in 1960
I drove bythe Harris Building today. Last week there was a fire caused by homeless squatters living in the abandoned building. I could see some fire and smoke damage near the upper west side of the building. So sad to see the blight in this once beautiful city. The Central City Mall was demolished last year and the area is encircled by an ungly construction fence. The park a few blocks down 2nd street is now a homeless encampment with garbage and tents covering the dead lawn. Disgusting what my once beautiful state is now.
CHUBZIES SMASHBURGERS!!!!
but worth its quality
bro the tv is as ugly as a zombie bruh
RIP Larry and Lori.
The exuberance is contagious... Larry seems like he probably sleeps with that guitar -- and I mean that in the best possible way
My Grandmother won in October of 1951. We have never been able to hear her on it. Wish I could find it.
I really enjoy these old A.M. Radio recordings, air checks, drops, commercials, station ID's and news. I'm not sure why but I've always been fascinated by these sorts of things. Thank you for uploading this.🙂
This was when race drivers were real men no good helmets safety belts roll cages
At 3:48 the gentleman donning the Cromwell helmet is Bud Rose ( real name Harry Eisele). He was Clark Gable’s stunt double in the 1950 movie “ To Please a Lady”. His most notable achievement was winning a 500 mile race for Sprint cars at Riverside International Speedway in 1958. The race was sanctioned by the CRA.
I have AAA yearbooks for 1950 through 1954 and in those "Big Cars" were sprint cars. I have never been able to find out how the Championship cars became the "Big Cars" during the USAC years. Donald Davidson always refereed to the Champ cars as the big cars and he had no explanation.
Do they plug that guitar in or just that kid, Larry
The blond woman immediately behind Larry looks like she is sucking a lemon.
sounds kinda fast
Back when this was made record speed wasn’t well regulated, it might vary several rpm plus or minus. I played it at 78, which might not be exactly accurate for this record.
thanks!
Dam I love that Guitar playing kid❤RIP Larry😢
This must be "amateur" Kodachrome. It gave brilliant color and resists fading better than most color films. A nice view of the county fair background of Champcar racing.
It is, 8mm Home Movie as I recall.
Non stop entertainment.
The mom and dad remind me a lot of the Hollywood couple Barbara Hale and Bill Williams. She of course played Della Street on Perry Mason, and he was a popular character actor. It's uncanny how much they look alike.
I wanna be friends with these girls! They seem so much fun. Amateur disk recordings are some of my favourite historical oddities ☺️ Edit: After another listen, this record is surely made c. 1946 or after. The singer Rosalie Allen released a cover of ‘I Wanna Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart’ that year with loads of yodelling which sounds almost identical to this! These girls must’ve been doing some karaoke haha
Just saw where Larry passed away in January 2024.😢😢
Супер!!!!!
Sadly, these days are gone forever. Large department stores have become dinosaurs...
3:40 just came in from some hot laps with a cigar in his mouth & wearing a nice polyester shirt, before "safety" was even a thing!
San Bernardino forever
I love bean n cheese burritos
Why did they move it? The reason I ask in the late 1960-70s my family would buy these houses that where the SB210/330 was built at 30th st to Hst and towards waterman ave they sold those homes and my grandmother had property in Colton and had two home moved from the construction of the crosstown fwy to her property! It’s funny because we were at a friends house in the ‘80s that didn’t get demolished or affected from the build had the same layout as my grandmothers house in Colton! It was from the same tract from that neighborhood. My mom bought one she later sold with property in Berdoo.
There is some Glenn Miller color footage?
Does anyone know about Laurel Hospital on the west side of the 2700 block on E Street? I was born there. Thanks for any help.
Хорошо что хоть паршивая запись была сохранила шедевры ❤❤❤
Imagine this kid w/distortion!!
I am watching this from Germany following up a documentation on Mario Andretti. Reading about engine size and horsepower available in this class I am out of words. It seems in a way a surreal blend of 30s racecars (Bentley, Alfa, Maserati) and Mad Max vehicles. The drivers (ex)position and angle of the wheel is just extraordinary. What a wild world of racing concepts. Thankyou.
I was on Bill Stulla's House Party for my 4th birthday and I really wish there were a You Tube video of it. Someone had given me a pair of panties with a heart "pocket" sewn on them. I wore them to the show that day and I told my mom that I could put my wishing well money into my pocket. She said that no I could not do that. But once I was back stage, I thought to myself, what does she know and put my dime in my pocket. When Bill got to the part of our discussion where I had to present my wishing well money, not only did I show him and the rest of the world where my money was waiting, the dime would not come out of the pocket! I remember him laughing, turning red and turning around discreetly while a lady from backstage came out to help retrieve the wayward dime. Then I went over to the table with the rest of the kids and had cake.
NO SOUND NO WATCH . GET REAL ,MAKE SOMETHING UP .KRAPP
My mother took me to the show just before my 2nd birthday. She pushed me out in front of the cameras. I took one look at Bill, the lights, the audience, and gave out a blood curdling scream and ran to my mom. There was no way I was going back out there!
Outstanding!!
Vintagetvs, Do you happen to have any technical information regarding the Tele-tone TV-209? Finding useful info on the interwebs has proven difficult. A long shot but figured I would try. Thanks.
Sams Photofact 57-21 is supposed to be the service info for this model. There's one on eBay right now for $8. Search for 1949 Tele-Tone and not the Sams number.
Ну вот здесь он на обоих грифах играл.
Larry at age 11. It took me until I was 18 to play the guitar almost that good. Go Larry go!!!
He was only 11?? Wow.
Их можно смотреть бесконечно.
Yes and I do. 😀
Truly awesome!
This is great -although this is mostly Champ(ionship) "Big" cars, my Dad raced midgets in the old AAA in 1949 and 1950.
1956 , Larry is just shredding , better than Scotty Moore or Link Wray
Or Chuck Berry
I just found 3 Voice O Graph records at a flea market earlier today. 1950, 1951, and 1954
Thanks for showing this, most of it is AAA champ cars.
