- The new, more powerful battery gives new life to this older Dyson stick vac. 24 minutes on low power with the nozzle spinning means I can almost clean all of my carpet. The downside is the 6 hour recharge time for the 3000 mAh battery.
And if you didn't notice, the actual dirt pickup was very low and devoid of fine dust. CFM and suction measurements are forthcoming.

It appears to be a surface cleaner and not a deep down cleaner. I'm very impressed with the new battery though. I guess this could be used for a quick clean up. The brushroll seems to be very weak. Great job on the refurb and whole house cleaning.

surface cleaners...these will never replace or clean better than full size uprights
But remember, he was also running the vacuum on low power. High power might have sucked up even more fine dust.
Speaking of fingernail clippings..... My ex wife use to clip her nails and toenails in the living and it use to annoy the hell out of me. It probably wouldn't have annoyed me nowhere near as much if we had carpet. But no, we had dark hardwood flooring and the nail clippings were very obvious all over the place. Jesus, how can anyone think this is okay???

Is it just me or is the brushroll on it spinning really slowly? This Dyson is clearly in good shape and it's working like it should, but it looks like Dyson has set the brushroll speed very low. Might be the camera effect also. Just wondering.
With only a 9 Watt motor, the brushroll doesn't spin fast; however, the effect you're seeing is mostly due to the 60 fps camera recording.
The dc35 I used to have would stop wayyyy to much even in 5/16 inch carpet, on the dc44 they said double the power fo dc35
Where did you get this battery? I don't want to buy bad batteries on amazon.

@@philipm1922 I said the old OEM battery lasted for a few seconds, not the new one. And this video is over a year old so any link I would have would be long gone. Do a search via the specs listed and see what comes up.
