  • In this video, I am using shad as bait for the first time in the hopes of catching catfish on jug lines.

    I caught 2 gators on the same trout line earlier this summer. A four footer and a five footer. Both hooked their back foot while cleaning out my lines. My son held their tail with their head under my kayak while I cut the hook out. They both seemed very tired and let me have their foot. I think their numbers should be greatly thinned. It's just a matter of time before one attacks a kid fishing on the bank. I'm 59 yrs old and I've fished Louisiana's waters all my life. I was 40 before I saw my first gator in the wild. Now I see them everytime I fish.

      I agree. Every time I take the kids fishing on toledo bend we see them eyes floating across the water. Its getting thick out there.

    Man that was a good video man. That was awesome seeing you catch those catfish and the Gators. I saw how the gators caught you off guard and I can see why. That was awesome seeing your flip flop tan you have. I take it you like wearing flip flops man? I have a flip flops tan too man & my flip flops tan i have it all year long. I am a huge flip flop fan because i have big very very extremely wide feet sz15 6E wide with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrew shoes , socks , & boots when i was 18 years old & flip flops is the only footwear that will barely and i mean barely fit my foot because of my toes being wider than the flip flops straps. Again it was cool to see your flip flops tan man & you catching those catfish. The video thank you for sharing buddy.

      @@BuckcreekTV you are welcome buddy & it's easy Footwear just in general use. They help keep the sweat off of your feet and keep your feet cool as well. Ain't nothing wrong with a flip flop Tan on your feet man. I have one that lasts all year long man. Ain't nothing wrong with being a true fan of flip flops. You take it easy buddy and hope you have a good week.

    In the area I live the Chinese carp have taken over a lot of our smaller rivers,
    Pushed all them fisherman including me to other waters,
    Now those waters are so overcrowded
    Pretty bad

    I would've started netting in those jugs after catching an alligator on one. All it would take is an alligator to pull you in and you might die to a death roll

    • @BuckcreekTV

      6-8ft but it can be as short as three or four. Just depends where you're placing them and I just buy 90-120# braided line

    How does the boat do on bigger Lakes when it’s rough how does it handle it

    • @BuckcreekTV
      @BuckcreekTV  2 года назад

      For me it does just fine I use it in large river systems, large lakes, and salt water and it’s handled everything. Of course when it starts white capping the ride is going to be pretty rough given it’s only a 15 foot boat with not a very deep V. If you take your time, and trim up some no worries about being safe trying to get it in.

      @@BuckcreekTV sweet I’m thinking about the 15 or the 16 it’s for saving money getting the 15

      @BuckcreekTV  2 года назад

      @@tajima_uchiha_4568 If you will be in heavy timber with tight turns the 15ft if mainly fishing the 16ft would be a good choice for a little more room.

    I think the smaller ones you are keeping are TOO small. Just my opinion. But I like your jug line fishing technique. I do a lot of jugging myself.
