agreed you make this prototype trailer mission look like a piece of cake. i remember first time trying it and i had no idea i could go in between the trains. I end up usually just using a big truck with a crane and pick it up over the wall. Another great video!
It's a little tricky getting over the train car but once over the rest is easy. I just really like the feeling of using it right where it's parked and knowing the Devs intended that to reveal the Acteon suspension upgrade. It feels meant to be.
Really great episode, I liked it a lot. Your hummer seems to make short work of many snowy areas, were you using the jat tires? It would have been nice to see you equip it :) A small tip, if you use the handbrake plus the normal brake on ice you can stop more quickly, just in case you didn't know.
Yeah it has the same tires as I had on it before, when I equipped it in Alaska. The only things I changed were the paint, added the beacon, the slant back, and the highway gearbox. It also has the top engine, same as before. I did not know that both brakes make a difference. 👍
Love the content! Just a suggestion would be to speed up some of the slower moving parts during the missions since it can get boring staring at a car move extremely slowly through snow and I know there will definitely be a lot more of that in this region 🤣
Is it just me or are you manually changing the gears in Auto sometimes? It looks like you're going up and down the gears occasionally besides just switching between H, L and Auto. If so, how do you do that?
Yes if you tap the bumper you use to shift (for me it's left bumper) when in auto, it will force shift either up or down to get you in the proper gear for your situation. If accelerating it will force up, if in mud or an incline it will force down. It's very helpful to keep auto gear working in an optimized way. That's why you see me tapping it almost constantly.
Huh, that's good to know! I always hate how the vehicles will downshift all the way down to gear 1 sometimes when I just let off the gas for a second. I'm going to have to try this out next time I play. Thanks!
Great first video (of yours that I have watched). Looking forward to more. Question: Which engine were you using in the Hummer? I tried both the largest and the smallest, and I was using almost twice the fuel in driving from the scout trailer drop off point to the PEU (completing all Task pickups in between). Your driving is better than mine, but it couldn't have made that much difference. The only noticeable difference in your Hummer and mine (besides the unknown engine) is that I had the small roof rack with fuel (you did not) and you have the sloped canopy in the back (I did not). I wasn't sure what the sloped canopy does; I saw no description in the menu. Does it make the Hummer that much more aerodynamic, and resultant improved fuel economy? Or maybe it is the gearbox? I am using the Snowrunner gearbox.
Hi Charles, I was using the biggest engine with the Freeway gearbox. The fuel consumption of the SnowRunner gearbox is really that much worse. That's mainly why I don't use it. The canopy doesn't make any difference as far as I know, but the roof rack is also additional weight and could impact the fuel economy as well. Great comment!
@@zorshixYes, as soon as I finished writing that comment I thought, “It has to be the gearbox.” But thanks for the confirmation. I am looking forward to this series; I hope you continue it. After playing Snowrunner off/on for three or four years, I finally advanced my Hard Mode gameplay through Taymyr yesterday and made my way to Kola for the first time ever. It looks like it is a very challenging region!
That's awesome, Kola Peninsula is a very rugged region and a great experience. I am continuing with the series, just been slow uploading lately due to life being busy. Welcome to the discord community too BTW. Glad to have you. 👍
It's a paid DLC region. You can purchase it alone or part of the year one pass. It can be found in the content browser on the main menu. Great question BTW. 👍
I didn’t realize I could set waypoints the way you did at the start of the first exploration. That will be a useful bit of knowledge.
Yeah it helps tremendously so you know how far away the next checkpoint is too
I never thought of the region as an exploring one, but it all makes sense now given most of the missions are exploring different points on each map.
I always think of it as the Kola Expedition. I love that the 3 vehicles we find here are all good for exploring. 🙂
Awesome start for a serie. Perfect narrator voice as well. Keep it up 😊👍
I appreciate hearing that. Next one is coming soon 🩵

Zorshix If you were to use any other Scout (including DLC Scouts) instead of Hummer which 1 would you go for in Kola Peninsula region?
I would probably use the Yar 87 since it has the ability to attach trailers and is very capable. 👍

This video is so calming and awesome
Glad you're enjoying it 🙂
I love your content so relaxing and informational at the same time 💯💯
Glad you're enjoying it, thank you!
you make getting the radar trailer so easy bro, i spent at least an hour trying to get to that trailer XD
Hopefully this approach will help 🙂
Which tires are you using? Why not use chains to help in the snow and ice?
I'm using the JAT mud tires, the Scout chains would be better on ice but suffer alot in the snow and mud.
Ah, didn't know those are better for snow too. I'll have to remember that when I get to Alaska! I'm trying to finish up Michigan now though.
For the trucks I would recommend trying offroads over mud tires, but for the scouts muds work better than offroad. 👍

I'll take that into account 🙂

@The6Guest the downshift to 1st will not happen anymore if you tap it before it can. It will be a much better experience for you. 🙂
i really love ur videos…
I really appreciate your comment 🙂
The snow reigon maps are my favorite 😂
Me too 🙂

Awesome video 🔥👍. Name of soundtrack?
Thanks! It's the in-game music for the Kola Peninsula region. The game soundtrack is phenomenal 👍
How do you unlock Kola peninsula?
It's a paid DLC region. You can purchase it alone or part of the year one pass. It can be found in the content browser on the main menu. Great question BTW. 👍
