Hi, nice video. I totally agree with you Murad The color of your passport does matter. Europeans / westerners are been given more preference over Asians. 2nd point is Referral helps a lot , its like 80 percent of ur interview is cleared if u have been referred by someone. 3rd. If you are reaching out a recruitment agency, make sure you don't pay them any amount that's again a total waste of money and time. They would ask you for registration fee of 300 aed or so and then a months salary .. My advice kindly ignore and keep on applying all by your self online ( at least from the hundreds of applications u may still have a chance of getting one interview call). Most of the job portal posts are dummy posts, they post vacancy only for the name sake to show it on the records that companies are hiring (utter crap). Fact is that position already gets filled by internal referral... that's the irony so.. my advice is do not have high hopes with online job platforms just keep on applying for jobs every days not less than 100 to 300 jobs. And good luck to all the Job hunters in Dubai Including me. :) Can you make a video on how to apply on LinkedIn*
Not necessarily. The company you are hired by, makes all the difference. I have worked for 5 years there on a south Asian Passport with top pay package you would aspire for. The difference: My company was a multi national organisation with regional headquarters in Dubai. My advice: Try to work for such companies and they will treat you right.
Which is also why i don't understand why asians whether indians, philipinos, etc want to work in Dubai at all. It is a freakin racist and feudal country beneath all the sykscrapers. You will NEVER be granted permanent residency EVER and you will be treated no different that modern day slaves.
I didn't know about the dummy posts you mentioned....... That's sad... I'm down to my last month....i just wanna go back... I'm depleted off my whole energy levels i had when i came here
One of the things I also learned is that many companies used to take Passport of the candidates. My cousin has a bad experience of this. One of the construction companies has taken his passport and they also make him start the work. But neither they have given him offer letter nor processed his Visa. He has worked for almost 1 month and every time they are having one or the other excuse for giving him the offer letter. Please I request the recruiters don't play with the emotions of the people. He has lost 1 month bcoz of this. Finally he had collected his passport which he got in the evening after waiting to collect it since morning 9.
Thanks Murrad, I am from Sri Lanka, but the information has been very useful and I will definitely use them. Thanks to you, i decided to visit after September.. Keep bringing more videos like this, much appreciated...
I'm from Algeria, way too far from india lol, planning to go to dubai this year, your video was really helpfull and interresting, wish you all the best Murrad
The nationality thing is sad but true, and somehow understandable.. The recruiter would give u a salary that tops the salary u had back in ur homeland in order to attract u to come to shift ur work here.. And since naturally westerns get more salaries in their countries than easterns they will definitely be offered higher one!
Thank you so much for this video man, I am in my last semester, studying at FAST Lahore, and I was planning to go to Dubai as a fresh graduate in June. This video guided me a lott!
It is interesting to know about the nationality being a major factor. Also very sad that the colonial hangover is so strong. You get to see the same issue in places like Thailand, S Korea where prefereance is given to US / UK passport holders and preferably white. Literally any common backpacker can come to Asian countries, get a job at a VERY high salary and live really well. If this is not racism, then I dunno what it is.
Great video , Viewers would be more happy if you could make more video related finding jobs in UAE, finding rooms in uae etc and many more related to uae . Its a humble request brother.♥️
So true :) I have all the qualifications and skills and still didn’t get a job!! I cleared all the 7 rounds of an interview in a start up and still they hired someone else for the role. I went into depression!!! Such a toxic job market !!!
@@satvik4566 It’s not toxic first of all we need to understand the world around us. Contacts are the real asset. After you loss your job if ur not placed in any company within two weeks it means you have a poor contacts. Build valuable contacts around you. Okay ! First of all, when I said toxic job market, I really meant it. When does having good contacts became a criteria to get placed? I upload my profile in Naukri India, I get 10-15 interview calls in a week and I end up with multiple job offers within a month. A job market where you require “contacts” to get a job is TOXIC !!!
And I attended an interview in Dubai wherein there were lots of qualified Candidates, yet the one who had reference got the job ! You call that a healthy job market ? It’s the extremity of TOXIC. I am quite sure a lot of other candidates will have similar story to tell ! Even if you have contacts, the one who is referred by the senior most person gets the job. You think that’s healthy ??
