At one point Larry Fritsch owned 2 Lindstroms. I’m not sure if he purchased Evans card but the second one Fritsch owned came from a man who claimed to have pulled it from a pack. That man had Barry late auction it back in 1999 I believe. I think it sold for $90k. That person then put it up for sale in another auction and I think that is when Fritsch purchased it were d the second. I think both were still in the Fritsch collection when he passed away.

I'd love to know what was in Larry Fritsch's collection! What cards he must have seen is astounding, and imagine being a fly on the wall on the negotiation on the US Caramel Fred Lindstrom?! I think this is one of the most important cards in the hobby and it's always a footnote within the hobby. Not nearly enough discussion as to why Fred Lindstrom, the economy of Boston and New England at the time, and was this set nationally distributed or regional?
