Mirra played the last 5-6 games with nerves of steel. It was incredible display of mental toughness from a 16 yrs old girl.
She also extremely good in meeting the press. She talks like very matured intelligent person..

The female commentator on AO Radio was amazing, at 5-1 she predicted after only a handful of points that this would take an ugly turn and Parry would lose the match because she was afraid of winning and waiting for Mirra to hand her the victory.

I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics.
Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth.
Appointing "flag police" at the AO 2023 was not even childish... it was embarrassing and insane...
Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen.
Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag?
USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq.
Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them.
Another example; are Israeli (Para-)olympians responsible for the policy of their government towards Palestinians?

All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.

Her being a fan of Murray is definitely unusual. If she were a brit, it would be understandable, otherwise it's extremely rare that someone would pick Murray over the any of the Big 3. He doesn't even have a particularly good technique or anything. An interviewer should find out more about that.

May be it's a mutual Taurus thing. Taureans are typically very tenacious and have a lot of stamina. They just never give up. Their games might look dull, even uninteresting. But they will get the job done more often than not. And yes, it's a sign that's a good provider, and they make a whole lot of money. Taureans feature a lot in richest lists. Murray, Kasatkina, Andreeva, Sabalenka, Barty are Taureans.

Telling a fan to come down from the stands, and if the fan decides to do so , security is apprehending him and throwing him out. Novak is coward with security protecting him. Perhaps , go into the stands or arrange to fight the guy later, without security team standing by.
