It was a good documentary but it should have been a two part or even a three part. There could have been another programme on his time managing Kildare and Laois. A great manager should have won more with kildare and Laois but they won sweet fxxx all before he was manager.
The best manager in the whole land of ireland.thank u very very much micko for all u did in kildare.we will never see the calibre of you again.best wishes always.the lilywhites of kildare
Really interesting. No doubt a great player and part of a great era for Kerry as manager. Saw him play a few times. Comes across as the definitive cute Kerryman. Broke rules on sponsorship (GAA is an amateur organisation) but maybe they deserved a return for their effort. Clearly didn’t like the Dubs and didn’t see respect for Dublin as opponents (maybe I missed it). Must be hard for him seeing Dubs do the 5 in a row. Micko undoubtedly a tough cookie and very successful both on and off the pitch.
Those comments of his at 32:43 and afterwards regarding the 1982 final. I can see how missing out on an achievement like that can never leave you.
Wonderful man. Met him briefly in Waterville late on a summer's evening. He was packing the car to head to a training session.
A great sportsman hopefully never too be forgotten.
Many Thanks for all these uploads. Keep up the good work. Making isolation slightly easier. Watching from Brisbane,Australia
