Exactly. And this corny idiot Lady jamar doesnt let go an opportunity to undermine EMINEM. Rakim called EM the Md Ali of hiphop, Big daddy kane called him the Kobe bryant of hiphop, just to state a few egs. So i dont understand who he means WE everytime he says so. ITS JUST HIM, THE RACIST PRICK who discredits EM when the OGs give him his flowers.

Lord Jamar is a racist POS. He was the weakest link in brand nubian, and he's so salty that Marshall would shred him left right and Center, with zero preparation, and Jerome could prepare a year in advance for the big showdown. He can't handle the fact that the white boy is at the top of the hill.
He's a joke, he's no OG, and Eminem has done way more for hip hop culture, and continues to do so. Jamar always has to say that Eminem don't get no air play in the hood, like when the phukk has Jamar ever been to the hood? He grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood, middle class, whereas Eminem grew up dirt poor, without a father, in a severely toxic environment that his mother subjected him to.
Marshall busted his ass to get where he got to in life. You think it's easy for a white boy to walk into a building, full of hip Hop heads, and battling? He was heckled the whole time until people started realizing the unbelievable talent he had, and next thing you know people were going to the shelter just to see who this Eminem guy was.
Even with all of those accolades, Marshall had to jump through millions of hoops just to catch his break, even though he was slaughtering everyone in the rap battles, minus his losses to Juice.
Eminem has always paid homage to those that paved the way for him to have an extremely lucrative career,
Jamar is nothing but a salty mark ass.
Eminem is the definition of Hip Hop.

Eminem got away with too much $hit that a black person would never get away with, look what happened with Trayvon Martin and countless of other blacks in this country, they always used their past against them.

I'm was watching this on my TV. 1:42:49. I had to pause it an run to get my phone to make this comment. Hynaken has been bugging most of this episode and now he has violated. Rakim is still top 5. You don't move black male actors around like this because of later actors. Lord Jamal said cutting edge which is mind blowing mesmerizing effects. That is Rakim. That is not Drake. Just because someone says give me top five doesn't mean you have to give 5. I only have 3 and perhaps before I leave the earth I'll have 5. Drake nor is Jay Z among my 3. Hynaken is way out of line throwing out Rakim's name in this discussion. Crazy.

I like when people can keep up with the eras and effect that it had on rap because that’s what im into hip hop history

People don’t say Em is the GOAT because he sold more records. To understand why people think he’s the GOAT you have to look at the entire package he brings to the table - his raw talent and skills as a lyricist, his origins in battle rapping and free styling that saw him earn his respect on the streets, his cultural impact and mainstream crossover appeal that brought white consumers into the fold and saw hip hop blow up the way it did, his global reach and ability to sell out arenas around the globe, the endless amount of records he’s shattered and set for the rap game, the sales numbers that have made him one of the most successful artists in music history across ALL genres period, and just his pure longevity and consistency as an artist that has allowed him to maintain a fan base of millions for 20+ years in an age where most people’s attention span and hype for music wanes after a few days or weeks.
if you take all this into account and look at every metric we use to measure success as a music artist and rapper, there is simply a very legitimate argument that he is the greatest rapper to ever do it. And I think the reason Lamar can’t stop talking about him is because is drives him fucking crazy that a white boy does it better than him or anyone else in the game right now. I think deep down he’s humiliated that he needs to ride Eminem’s coattails just to gain some traction in hip hop media and get his name out there because his music and his legacy have long since faded into dust. Just some facts for y’all to digest.

    • @hiphopguy54
      @hiphopguy54 3 года назад +5

facts bro, its just jealousy that the white boy is selling more than blacks. If they say he's got no problem with Em why not praise him for who he is. I respect Lord Jamar but when it comes to Em he becomes different.

    • @amanSpawn00

Jamar has spoken his point time and time again.
His issue w/ Eminem is more from a historical angle vs racial
He has said he views Eminem like how he views Elvis
And there was TONS of racial ish surrounding Elvis’ come up and having white people crown him King of a genre he not from, over the originators.
I don’t fully agree with the angle Jamar has but I at least understand his viewpoint.

What I think people miss is the role that technology has caused in the change in culture. With the advent of social media and communication through mobile devices youth don't feel the need to communicate outside of their circle for advice or mentorship. They look towards their own age group. I think Jamar has it somewhat twisted when it comes to Africa. Many of us have indigenous roots in this hemisphere, but our African roots are clear and scientifically visible. We still don't like or have respect for Africa(a real part of ourselves) to embrace our African family or homeland. It's still a hurdle for most of us.
