We are looking at implementing Veeam with DR Orch. We only have a single site and will be carrying out backups on site and replicating to Azure storage. We have a question regarding DR Orch. If we have an "incident" that we subsequently need to initiate a DR on, if the Orchestrator is installed at the on-premise site, surely we would struggle to initiate the failover? In short, shouldn't the DR Orch server be running in Azure? Apologies, but I haven't used Veeam since version 7.
Hello, Robert, that is correct. I would totally recommend putting the VRO server in Azure, so you can recover from there. VRO has its own native VBR console, etc. your local SE should be able to help you with deployment a bit, let me know.
Thank you so much for this. I am developing a solution for my clients. Do you have a demo of full configuration of veeam backup and replication && orchestration configuration?
