This panel can put out close to 100 watts ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOqI2yqX0XVrhR2BMJciTWrHJpG8FhJyg when positioned in the appropriate southernly direction, tilted to the optimal angle for your latitude/date, and connected to a higher capacity device than a 500. The built in kickstand angle is a fixed at 50 degrees. Up to 20% more power can be output by selecting the actual date and latitude optimal angle. The 500 will only input 3.5A maximum at 18 volts for 63 watts. Some of the excess power from the panel can be fed into a USB battery bank, charged directly from the panel while also charging a 500. This will allow you to harvest as much as 63 + 15 = 78 watts. If this panel is used to charge a larger device, such as the power station, then its full output potential can be realized.

    Hi guys!!!
    I have a question 🙏🏼.
I got the same set up for solar and roof rack you guys did. Everything just the same. But we’re having questions about how to set up the solar panels. How to link them together. I know you’re busy now, but if there is a chance i can get any help from you we will greatly appreciate it 🙌🏼.
    Thank you and safe travels.

I have forgotten the gland nuts too. Same language, “oh no!” But being such a short run I was able to remove and replace without taking it off.

Love it… but I might have to one up you… ‘there’s always one!’… I’ve got maxx air fan, a single 500W walkable military grade solar panel roof deck from Tiny Watts Solar, a 12V domestic aircon… and a Midi Heki skylight, a dome max air fan and finally a Peplink antenna all fitting onto my 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 170WB roof… 😅

Sounds sick!!! Tinywatts product is so rad!!! They use Merlin panels? Can’t remember the brand name off the top of my head

How did you adhere the rest of the semi flex solar panels to the metal, did you use very high bond (VHB) tape so they don't flex/lift up in the middle and come off the roof when you drive down the highway? I used VHB with polycarbonate strips in between each cell, works a treat, the manufacturer recommended that due to the airflow the semi flex panels need from the base they are adhered to. Worked perfectly in gale force winds/hail storms/road trains passing on the highways etc., and were still stuck like glue when I had to remove them to use on my new home on wheels...lol...

Nice build. Though those panels seem to be difficult to clean as I just recieved a 100 watt panel and the surface is extremely rough. My panel was defective, so I am returning it. The Orion Van Gear experience was terrible. Would not recommend.
