I thought that the husband, still alive, was going to walk in the front door with two police officers, as soon as the brother and sister admitted their confessions. That would've been an interesting plot twist to know that the husband faked his death to set them up for such a confession, and them telling his wife afterwards of, "a hunch", he always had about them.
