  • Hello all,
Another week and another install. Finally, I no longer need dreaded extension leads running up the wall to run my lights.
Please don't forget to like and subscribe. I would really appreciate it.

That's a pretty nifty setup, actually! I'm going to look into something like that for some of my light.

Yes! The answer! I had a feeling it might be a sensor light blinking on and off :^)

Can you use this as a way of two way switching?

I believe so yes but I’ve not tried it myself. On more than one occasion I have got back into the house and realised I left the light on so a second switch would be helpful.

I've seen video where you can wire it and be able to use the original switch also.

Yes you can install upto 10 wireless switches of one receiver. Mk quinetic allows you to install on grid switches which blend in with standard modular light switches.

@@Ben-lr2vz probably best to disconnect the existing switch wire and install however many wireles light switches you need. Paired to a singular receiver.

I like the units that have a smart receiver...but this unit can save a lot of labor and needless wiring... I wish I knew of this when I had to rewire my new house...the bastard electrician never wired several switches that I had in the contract...

I really do wonder why this isn’t a more used method for installs now. So much quicker and easier.

I want to gather a number of switches together from adjacent spaces, without having to rewire any of them. Can the receiver be used to replace the switching gear in a traditional light switch, so that the kinetic light switch can be used as just a repositioned switch?

I believe so yes. There 99% sure there is a video on RUclips where someone did exactly that.

I'm wondering, if the power goes out do you need to pair it again? That would be pain in the a$$.

I did a little test and switched the fuse board off then on and it worked. I guess it may have a small battery in it….

I haven’t had any issues with that.. I tore my old switch apart and there are no batteries or any power source, I think the switch works purely off of the mechanical movement that’s why it clicks so damn loud lol… at least that’s what I came up with
