During one of the darkest times in human history, this is the very piece of music that was performed by two jewish pianists, Władysław Szpilman and Natalia Karp, and touched even the blackened, buried heart and soul of, not one, but two SS officers. Two pianists separated by countless miles of desolation and destruction, who coincidentally decided to play the exact same piece, as if reunited through the beauty of art and music, beauty that doesn't know any borders. Thinking it was going to be the last time they would feel the keys of a piano, the Nocturne reignited the forgotten light of humanity even in the most evil individuals, for a few minutes, and made them spare their lives...

Balada n° 1, a peça tocada, eu acho. Se não me engano, ele conta no livro. O filme fez uma adaptação para uma peça mais curta (o noturno do vídeo).
No he originally played this nocturne. In the movie the changed it into balade no1. But i dont know why they did this
Pure poetry! Thanks, Denis! Beautifully performed.
