Fury, for me, hasn't really shown much skill in his last few fights. I believe if he was 2~3 inches shorter, he wouldn't have ever been in the Top 5 debate. Without his jab and constant "push backs" he really would of stood no chance against the likes of Usyk (or AJ for that matter) and I believe the fight would have been over far quicker.
Props to Usyk who has withstood constant harassment from the Fury team and fans, who refused to entertain John Fury's assault on a member of his team and who continued to ignore Fury blaming his loss on the Ukraine war. Usyk truly is an amazing fighter and the greatest of our era - a true representation of boxing, overcoming and staying focused.

it was a wee bit sad to see tyson fury lose last night, been watching him for years, back in the day on channel 5. giant of a man and a fantastic boxer. i always thought uysk would struggle just from the size of fury but i eat my words uysk is an elite boxer. like a heavyweight ricardo lopez!deserved the win! such a talent. It feels like this era of heavyweights is nearly over. joshua, fury, wilder, parker, uysk must all be coming close to retirement soon.

I agree mate I was a big fan of Fury when he made his comback and found him to be so inspiring... but since he beat wilder I honestly can't stand him or his hype men... then after it all he blamed his loss on the war in Ukraine. Discussing.

7-5 Usyk with the knock down, that was my score live and with a rewatch.

Great insights as usual. Usyk was the superior fighter on the night and the ref should have let Usyk finish off Fury in the 9th. The debate is over and no need for a rematch either. Usyk wins again and with ease.

More importantly usyks gloves. The padding was huge, yes he still had knuckle damage?

I'd agree with that score for Usyk. I was expecting a draw as Fury was good early on especially with those uppercuts, but I think it should've been stopped in the 9th. Fury couldn't defend himself & was literally being hit from pillar to post, but he gets away with a standing 8. He would've gone down if not for the ropes.
What a fight though. Usyk is incredible. Fury was still concussed at the end & said Usyk got the decision because his country is at war & then shouts happy new year 😂😂😂😂😂 comedy gold.

Great video Coach. The count given to Fury in round 9 does count as a knockdown. The rules state that if a fighter is caught in, or held up by any part of the ring when they would have otherwise been knocked down if it wasn't there, it is determined to be a knockdown. Tommy Morrison wasn't so lucky against Ray Mercer...nor was Ken Norton against Gerry Cooney 😅 I thought the referee did a great job in round 9, electing to administer a count rather than calling for a stoppage. World title fights deserve a bit of leeway in that regard. Great fight, could easily see it 114-114 but the knockdown edges it for Usyk!
