Congratulations on the blessing of baby Louie! I am the youngest of 7 kids and like you Janelle, my mother was 43 when she gave birth to me on Jan 7th. It was beautiful to hear your experience. Thanks be to God Ken that you were able to baptized baby Louie immediately. My hubby and I also made it a point to baptize our 4 children immediately after being born. May God continue to bless your big beautiful family. JMJ ❤🙏✝️
Thanks Ken, the interviews with Father Christina are educational and enlightening. Today's presentation gave me a greater objective view of "the sacrifice of the Mass" and the gift of the Eucharist from our Creator through Jesus Christ.
Thank God for your channel! I am receiving an education in my Faith that I never ever had. To my great shame. I am returned to the Faith after in real terms after some 40 years but the graces I am receiving and the deep desire for the sacraments esp the Eucharist is beyond words. Thank you for being faithful and passing that faith on
Thank you Fr.Cristino & Ken for this teaching, l am 72 year old and always felt uncomfortable when the precious blood was given in certain parishes. I always had this fear of Jesus's precious blood being spilt.Thank you Father for your explanation. God bless you both 🙏 ❤️ ✝️🇦🇺
I believe that the precious body and blood was the intention of Jesus Christ to offer to his apostles now know as his beloved priest. It was only after second Vatican we began to receive the precious blood. Since Covid, this has shut down receiving the precious blood and I believe in time Jesus Christ will reveal to the whole of humanity at his second coming what will be the correct way to receive the Eucharist. Some Catholic Churches are now giving the Eucharist in the form of his body and blood.
Thank you for this informative discussion. I am part of an Ordinariate parish, and we receive the Body of Christ at an altar rail. Occasionally, both species by intinction as Fr Cristino described, distributed by the priest.
❤We've been living with that risk, when the precios blood has been distributed, for ages..."Spillages," have been handled properly. Why the concern now? We should be More concerned, of "Not" receiving "The Most Precious Blood," in the Chalice! ❤🙏💒🌺👰👼🕊🕯🌹✨️🙏
Originally, it was Priest only who recieved even the Body, that now has been offered to laity which I'm grateful for but I don't agree giving the opportunity for the spilling of His precious blood. Its hard enough seeing the carelessness people have for his BODY.
We should spend our energy first in the profound faith in the belief of the real precious Body, Blood Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ with His most beating Sacred Heart.
When I became a Catholic in 1978, the norm was to receive The Holy Eucharist under One Form only but Both Forms were permitted at times such as Maundy Thursday, the Easter Vigil and Corpus Christi and at occasions such as Confirmations and Weddings. The Chalice was gradually introduced until it became the norm. it was withdrawn because of covid, but most of us were pleased to be able to get back to Mass after the politicians enforced closedown of Churches [here in England Churches were forced to close from late March to early July and again for a shorter period in the autumn]. I would prefer to continue to receive under One Form because now I'm old I have the tendency to drop things, so I would not want to risk spilling or dropping the Chalice. If I drop a cup of coffee or soup or cereals at home, it is just a mild annoyance, but I do not want to risk spilling the Lord's Blood, which is infinitely worse. If the Bishop reintroduces the Chalice for the laity, I would need to let the priest know before Mass that I would prefer to only receive the Host and let him know why.
I feel that our energy should be in the respect to receiving in a respectful way. I find we here in Canada we are not using enough respect when we receive Christ in the Eucharist. We don’t use plates to catch crumbs. People walking away before they consume it. In the hand we risk crumbs falling on the ground too. I feel we need proper teaching and enforce what is proper and respectful. I feel if we do bring back stricter reciving rules people will realize the real presents in the Blood and Body in the wine and bread.
In our parish we have in the past and still in the present receive under both species ( not during COVID-19 of course). 🇿🇦. I know that not receiving the blood does not make it incomplete, it still fully receiving the Body/ Blood
Amazing. Thank you Fr. Cristino, you have made me feel so much more comfortable. I cannot bring myself to drink after so many people I do not even know. I am not a person that will even eat or drink after my husband or my children. I would do the dipping of the Eucharist into the blood of Jesus by a priest. I do not like receiving communion in the hand. What a relief to have heard your comments. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I am 84 years old and have worried about this for a very long time. ✝🙏📿
This was a very good video. I really enjoyed it and agree with the sentiment regarding communion of the Precious Blood. Receiving communion as Father Cristino explained how it should happen, brings more reverence to this sacrament. Thank you for this.
Great explanation father Chris even Ken is trying to put his thought or desire.👏🏻 excellent. Please can you imagine people who would like worship, but they don't have priest only WORDS minister, what meaning just celebrating word liturgy.
Sometimes I attend the Byzantine Rite Divine Liturgy where they always have throughout the centuries given Communion under both species. I must admit that I get a special feeling.
The Maronite Catholic Church distributes the body and blood to us by putting a small cup of the Blood in the middle of the big cup of Hosts and the priest dips the Hosts into the small cup of Blood and you can only receive it in the mouth it’s very special 🙏🏻
Thanks Ken for having Father Christiano tackle these messages. He is so awesome at explaining things and I feel like I get the whole history. I always feel guilty like should I be doing this or that and it just feels good to know.
Here's a question.....Is not the bread that is broken both body and blood? How can there be a body without blood? Is not the cup we share ....the sacrificial dying unto self.....the blood in which gives strength? When I was young both species were only offered at Sacraments...like Marriage....when we grow sacrificially in love......because both are offered at Mass most Catholics don't understand.......we need more conversation on this
When I was growing up we never drank the wine, Blood of Jesus. We received the Host, Body of Jesus, and once in awhile for special Masses they would dip the host into the wine and we received both. We were made to understand that either form you were receiving both. We never drank from the Chalice, only the Priest did.
I listen to everything Father Christiano offers because he's direct, decisive and provides evidence from scripture and Church documents. He is a faithful priest.
Growing up, we only had the Eucharistic. My priest only does the Eucharistic. Only the Priest & Deacon serves the Eucharistic. We only have altar boys. I really like this priest, a lot like mine.
I'm in the States and was visiting a diocese in Arizona. The Bishop said since only the wealthier countries could afford the wine, he felt we weren't unified if we did it. Wondered what you thought.
It's God!! In the beginning, He offered bread and wine - the Body and the Blood. What are we afraid of?? Lord, have mercy for shrinking back. I don't mean any disrespect. As a catechist, it's certainly confusing to teach about the Body and the Blood to children receiving First Communion and after their first, it's never offered again. A good write up about this would be sincerely appreciated. How do I explain that the Blood of Christ is so precious but we never see it. A clear, age appropriate explanation is absolutely needed. Thanks for this information.
Considering that Eucharistic miracles always have blood coming from the host, I think that's a good indication we are receiving both. But, as a senior, I never received the precious blood for the first 20 years of my life and when it was offered after VII I was very hesitant - and passed on that option. When I came back to the Church 20 years later, I eagerly chose both - but here in the US, the host was given only in hand and the blood with a communal cup. So for decades, that's what I did. After covid, I did look forward to having both again, as before - and felt sad if it was not offered (yes, it was for my enrichment - sorry if that is wrong - but it felt right and good...to me). Recently, with all the social media commotion about receiving on the tongue, we are seeing more and more people 'requesting' that (prior to covid, I saw only one person request receiving the host on the tongue) - and the priest offers the tincture to those that want, on the tongue. But on Sunday mass, only if you are on the line that the priest is offering do you get that option. If he has enough Eucharist ministers the blood is offered for those who do not have the option - I rarely see anyone take that option anymore, however.
Regarding the 12 year prayers of St. Bridget of Sweden from four years ago. Could you rework it to include the texts? I love your calm and serene voices with the prayers. I began this (year 1) on New Year’s Day, 2025. I would love to pray with you and not just listen to you pray. I haven’t had success in finding the texts for the 12 year prayers. Blessings on Gift from God #8. 🎉🎉🎉

And also in approved Eucharistic miracles, where the Host actually bleeds, and has even been scientifically confirmed to contain human blood,(under stress), human DNA so to speak. That alone would assure me that the precious blood of Jesus is indeed present in the holy Eucharist. The book "The Catholic Mass " by Bishop Athanasius Schneider. Great read.
This was a great podcast. So informative to all who had any questions regarding the possibility of missing out of complete communion.
Some parishes, here in the US, use a paten with a small cup that sits on the paten, and the body/host is dipped in the blood

The sacrament of the Eucharist is fully complete in the Eucharistic Host.

I agree but let's teach that. People who don't know are confused.
We should spend our energy first in the profound faith in the belief of the real precious Body, Blood Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ with His most beating Sacred Heart.
I am fortunate we do have the cup, the blood of our Lord. It was brought back a few months back.

Off topic but...
Ken, did you announce the arrival of baby#8? I didn’t see anything yet.
We will have an update next week
@ Looking forward to it. 😊
I am fortunate to have both every Sunday. Our church offers the host dipped in the precious blood to those who wish to receive on the tongue.
the only time I had that was my first eucharist, when I entered the church, following confirmation.
Seems like the best option.
It's Take and Eat, Take and drink, it is not Take and Dip

My parish shows no signs of returning the Cup. It's a pretty standard walk-up line for the Host. Very basic -- no rails or kneeling.

Beautiful Louis? Are you saying baby #8 was born? When? I haven’t seen a video announcing his birth.😕
I have no problem with it, but I also think the traditions of the Roman Rite have wisdom behind them
NO ! Lay people should not touch the Sacred Vessels ! Besides, we receive the fullness of God, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist
Priests focus on giving every communicant a 10 minute chance to speak with Christ while he is present in us.
❤Unless you eat this bread which is my body and drink this wine which is my blood you shall not have eternal life in you. ❤
