    Nice gig log brother! Here in Houston at that same springs setup, I absolutely hate being placed in that stair armpit! I feel like most wedding venues here in TX don't account for the entertainment at all. Always 40 yards off in a corner behind a pillar, or tucked away in a staircase armpit. When you watch the NJ Wedding DJ's, they are always ON THE DANCEFLOOR! I love that.

      I agree! The Springs is a beautiful venue, but not the most convenient for vendors. We gotta do what we gotta do as vendors. I do enjoy DJing at their venues though!

    Clean, professional event. I just bought two fx2’s myself. Appreciate the time you took to make your video. Keep up the good work.

    Great job always. May I ask why you are using a table scrim if you have a facade?

      Great question! Personally, I like to use the table scrim because it keeps my look more clean behind the façade. If anybody wanted to come around and see a bunch of wires dangling down, it doesn’t look as professional. The scrim helps me keep it clean. Also, there are events where I won’t use a façade if it’s a very quick and easy event. If that’s the case, I am using the table scrim and keeping everything nice and tidy.

    Good event! Pro tip - 1. I used to have my mic inside the case like yours and would have drop out issues. I have since taken it out of the case and no more drop outs. I bought a seperate small odysey cdj case for my bose ts4 mixer and the microphone. I always take the microphone out of the case and set it on the front edge of the case where there is no obstructions. I use the shure qxld sytem. Lav for officiant or a wireless mic. I also use the shure dual mics blx288/sm58. Pr tip - 2. I also raise my speakers to the top of my head to keep the sound from just slamming the dancers at the front right in the ear. Keep em dancing.

      Thanks for the feedback! I already have plans to take the receiver out and place it up higher. I will soon be doing a microphone/mixer combo rack. I will probably post a video about it too.

      @@DJ-BRY why just 15 inch subs? That seems underpowered. I would had gone with McCauley M421 or Bassboss Kraken Quad 21. Used very minimal volume, ready for even production company. Think big man! These small units are not worth the investment. Meyer X40 Ultra etc are bang for buck! Many other products are there too, no doubt.. but get something better!

      @@josealfredfernandes I didn't use my 15inch subs for this event since I had a difficult load in with the ice, but they are perfect for the clientele and events I want to work for. For me, the 15's can fit in my truck and are a lot easier to load in and out. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely check out these brands.

    Did you run your power and xlr cables around the back of the staircase? About how many feet was the cable you used?

    • @DJ-BRY
      @DJ-BRY  2 года назад

      Yes I did. I ran my XLR’s all the way around but they had power outlets on each side of the staircase so it was easy for my power cables to plug in. I believe I used 2 25’ XLR’s for my speaker on the other side. I had some extra cable footage though so I didn’t need a full 50 ft of XLR. I always like to have more than I need at all times.
