- Nice little rounder Spotting latest E.M.R liveries. Big son David spotted on the fenfence at Kettering. Freight and Passenger trains.. nice one, enjoy. Kindly note.... I dont window hang, it is dangerous and illegal. I have a special clamp on which I atatch the camera, I then clamp it to the dropdown door window which is open aboui 6/8 inches.. cheers a lot
Excellent Rail Video! Nice view!
cheers
Interesting little video, nice to see your "travel blogs" Keith . Well done 🤓 stay safe 💙
thank you
Excellent note about note window hanging there, Keith. That's so important. I really loved watching, spending part of my late Saturday afternoon following your ride.
thank you very much

Pleasant trip. Good to see Nottingham again. I was born in Beeston many moons ago. Thanks Keith
love people from your area.. always seem so friendly. thank you
An excellent video Keith full of interest. We moan about the sun not being out and when it is the damn thing is too bright!! We can't win!!
Really enjoyed this one Keith, many thanks.
Cheers, Bob
thanks for comment Bob
It’s great to see the different stations, sidings, and different parts of the countryside I love to go on these travels with you.
Glad you enjoyed
Another brilliant video here Smile! I really enjoyed this :)
Thank you so much!
@@SMILEVIDEOTRAINS your very welcome :)
Lovely day for a trip out Keith, and has been perfect filming weather while I've been at work - now I've got two days off the cloud and rain has appeared along with a guaty breeze! Nicely timed to get the SWR 701 from Derby to Eastleigh, and always plenty of locos to enjoy on Leicester LIP, but Derby RTC(yes that's it)a bit quiet, most of the test trains out I guess. The ex Hull Trains 180 you glimpsed on Etches Park will be taking over the Angel Trains HST diagram you rode on from the December timetable change.
thanks for the info Darren.
I'm not 100% sure but I thought the 58 project went to Leicester.
On a separate note I'd like to say that I've suffered like many of us through covid with the mental health side of things and your videos not only entertain me but also inspire me to do more.
I'm very grateful you share your journeys . Thank you
me not sure either. however I am pleased to have brought a litttle pleasure in your life.
Another amazing trip with Keith!!
Thank you Theo
September 1st, this year is flying by! As always great Video Keith, Kind regards. Ian.
I gotta say that the older one gets especially if one is active the time seems to dissapear so fast that I cant remember what I did 2/3 days ago. cheers Ian
Just when I thought EMR where bucking the trend of painting stock in a 60-70% white/grey livery they have succumbed to the "New normal'. Nevermind, another great offering from you Keith.
thank you
EMRs intermediate livery was the off-white one. The newest livery was on the train seen at Kettering, full-length burgundy/purple with only white doors.
Thanks Keith., I am a recent follower, but have become addicted. Bless you and June. Take care and look after yourself.
I thank you very much
Thanks Keith, always nice to accompany you on your trips out. Hope yourself and lady June are keeping well? Best regards. Jon.
thank you
A great video I enjoyed it! Hope you are well. Take care
Glad you enjoyed it
Another excellent video
Glad you enjoyed it
The sidings/depots at derby u mention in the video - one is Etches Park and the other is Litchurch Lane
thankyyou for an interesting circular tour keeping us up to date with changes on the midland mainline inc new livery and track alterations
thank you
Looked nice day out Keith, I wonder if your son was wondering who was waving at him from a passing train. Always interesting what you are going to see in Derby. Also, nice window hang.
thank you
Yet another great video. You just grab something to drink and travel along :)
You got that right!
Great video as ways Keith it was me in the red hoodie you could see when you passed Attenborough nature reserve small world
O ok, you were very noticable.. thank you
Beautiful video! Greetings 🚂👍🔔👋
Thanks for visiting
That hst you caught from Wellingborough is called a ex grand Central hst because it use to be in the grand Central livery that ran down the ECML between London Kings Cross and Sunderland
O right.. thanks
@@SMILEVIDEOTRAINS no worries mate
cool cabride my friend
cheers
Very nice video Keith :)
thank you
Nice video!
Thanks!
Truly awesome circular tour there Keith! So much to see, were you routed through Toton? if so i missed it! Know i didnt miss Derby plus research centre, 37 heaven, Dvt 's counted 3 ROG 37's , lucky you, it was filled with locos, good timing! I do like the new EMT livery, lovely tone of maroon, another winning session , as usual great viewing thankyou and take care, regards Nick.
no Nick we did not go Toton.. just Derby maintenece sidings.
Great video Kieth. Are EMR keeping their HST. Or gradually phassing them out
phaseing them out. thanks
With the midland electrification they will be gradually replaced with yet more 800 variants unfortunately
Just to add a bit more detail to what Wilf said, in the longer term it'll be the 800 variants, in the more medium term I understand they'll be introducing class 180s and more class 170s to allow them to phase out the HSTs sooner.
Great video
thank you

I thought you were going to take us past Toton sidings but must have got it wrong.
No. the sidings are at Derby. thanks for looking in.
Great video 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
As. Usual. A. Good. Video
Glad you think so!
Just north of Wellingborough there used to be a yellow vertical tank with a painted inscription "Empty Storage Tank". I never knew what its purpose was; do you remember it?
No sorry, could have been part of the foundry workings. but thats many years ago
Told you that a trip via l I p would be worth it. Kettering in the morning was busy. Where next?
always worth a look and a nice little train ride too
Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station isn’t disused yet, its very much still generating electricity. Decommissioning doesn’t start till 2025
O ok. have not seen any activity there for twelve months.
Good to see HST still been run by EMR
absolutely.. crying shame that they are being dumped.
Was that the 58 from Barrow hill . ?
ya got me there. I really dont know. sorry
Amazing...he mentioned Market Harborough, odd how his camera never works there though...is the line speed too fast for you now Keith?
not at all. one of there days I'll have a little tme there and film for you.. lol
Can you trainspot at
Leicester now?
Yes
@@callumltfc brilliant thanks mate 👍
thank you
I have been twice recentl and I keep a low profile. no waiting rooms open and no catering but toilets are open..
Ratcliffe is disused?
as far as I am aware all of this type of power station is out of service an due for demolition.
Oh yes it's being decommissioned in 2025
@@SMILEVIDEOTRAINS Ratcliffe power station still in use Keith doesn't start to close until late 2021 and finally close 2025
my uncle lives in derby
nice... I've only ever been to the station
