I have a very relevant Paper to complete for Uni until Thursday. To escape my Uni stuff, I have picked up MH World +Iceborne for PC, since I only played World on Xbox 1 when it came out. I have spent all of my free (and my not so free) time playing MH for the past 3 weeks. Just yesterday I've beaten Alatreon after 5 hours of fighting him. Needless to say, I had to put in an extra nightshift because I've procrastinated so hard. So this Video hits home now :D
nothing like staying up all night with my psp and my hunting group spread across our couches. Playing musical chairs to rotate time charging at the 2 plug in spots.
Played since the very first Monster Hunter and played every NA release. World is a very special game in the franchise P.S. The new monsters in Iceborne just keep getting better the more you play.
Tht is a man who truly fell in love with the game and im all in for it, who knws maybe we'll see each in a lobby without knowing and hv blast playing it..
Rise is originally a Switch game, portet to pc, so graphics and details are nowhere near as good as World. Rise is more Arcady and fast paced with a mechanic that for a lot of people trivialized a hunt and made it too easy. World has much more content. IMO world simulates the impact of weapons when they hit a monster better than Rise, making you feel every hit you land. These are my turn-offs for Rise and why i didn't enjoy Rise. Rise is easier and can be played anywhere with switch, so there's that i guess.
Personally I would say world, both are great, but the pace of the hunts in world feels more classic, while rise has more mobility around the map like faster mounts and just showing you where the target is without needing to have hunted it a few times. World also has better graphics since it wasnt made as a switch game, which is nice too. Basically rise is faster to get into and to pull off hunts, world is slower pace but feels more feature rich
I have played Monster Hunter World and Rise. I would recommend World because it feels more like a full experience. But Rise without Sunbreak (the Expansion)is a bit shallow compared to World. The narrative is bare bones and there are only a handful of monsters to hunt. Therefore the best fights are all in Sunbreak. I would only recommend Rise if you like really fast and complex combat.
The video's content is good, but I cannot imagine that the gameplay recorded would sell any newcomers on the game. Watching a dude in guardian armor using Longsword like it was Sword and Shield and not knowing how to power up the spirit gauge physically hurts
I'm a veteran player from the psp games, world is a great game but the tenderize mechanic can suck my balls. Also don't like the forced multiplayer quests, I know it's a couple but still, shouldn't be a thing.
@@rrift_ Annoying and clunky mechanic that you're forced to do in iceborn content if you don't want hunts taking 50 minutes. Some monsters are covered in protected spots that you need to tenderize if you want to hit at all. Just an annoying extra step.
Small correction on the miltiplayer part... people recommend you don't have high MR level hunters carry you otherwise you just straight up don't learn how to fight and it kinda ruins the game for you.

defender gear needs more of a warning when equipping it. Also Nerg with a Gunlance is hell. Dont feel bad about that struggle.@@ThatCowBloke

Should I buy World or Rise? It seems that World was more complete and has more details perhaps made with more passion right?
I say look up reviews and see pro and cons about both but world is more grounded and rise is more arcady so give it your own opinion

Ehh not exactly true. It's true for endgame monsters but for the most part it doesn't matter

Some monsters *are* poorly designed. Master Rank Uragaan, Kushala Daora, and Kirin, for example.
