Even during retirement Wayne has been pushing his body to extremes taking on different challenges from tight rope walking with Crouch to mountain climbs with Joe Cole.

When Bridge scored for Chelsea against Arsenal in the champions league all those years ago it was one of my best childhood sporting memories. Marked a significant and defining change in Chelsea’s fortunes over the next 20 years. The man is a legend.
