Literally my only complaint about this film is that it ended. I could have sat there for another 2 hours. Cinematography, music, acting, special effects, costume design, set design, give this movie all the oscars. And as a fan of the book, I cannot say enough what an amazing adaptation of the book it is. There is something unforgettable about Denis Villeneuve's Dune. Hans Zimmer's majestic, one-of-kind soundtrack and Paul's almost hypnotizing visions make the movie truly special. I've never seen anything quite like that.

Peter Jackson and Denis Villenueve are the greatest directors for adapting one of the most legendary books of 20th century i believe dune matches lotr when it terms cinematic experience

I doubt it. I doubt anyone other than Villeneuve (Im sorry for any potential spelling mistakes of his name) could/can pull this off. And I think most producers in hollywood realize that,
When I was reading to the book and reached the part where Paul unlocks his full prescience I swear I heard something like this in my head. I wasn't on drugs, I wasn't high but I was experiencing a psychedelic revelation... from a book... I am still puzzled how that happened to me. Amazing job, Hans
@@IshaanGupta00 I could also see it as being triumphant like this score in another way, though mournful would also suit really well. Triumphant theme (like this one)- Paul has finally managed to escape his deification at the hands of the Qizarate and his worshippers, by accepting his fate as a blind Fremen and walking into the desert to die. By adhering to their most sacred of ways to the very end, Paul has also ensured their eternal loyalty to not only him, but all descendants of the Atreides line going forwards, in particular his newborn children. Through this masterstroke he is finally free of Muad’dib, his Prescience and the ramifications of his destiny beyond his control, justifying the triumphant nature of the theme. Mournful theme- Paul has lost so much at this point- Chani, his visions, even his sight. He cannot bear to go on without her, and to face down the golden path is not possible for him in the face of such tragedy. It would also reinforce the solemness of the future, that Leto II will have to continue down the Golden Path at the expense of his own humanity as Paul was not able to do so himself, continuing the suffering of the Atreides line. I think either would work, but we will see what Hans Zimmer’s got cooking for us!

Oh it absolutely will. Leaving Caladan, the epic rendition of Paul's theme, will be mirrored with Paul once again looking to the horizon, perhaps the sun, and the score swelling. I expect with the same immensity, but in the direction of despairing sadness.
My favorite part here is at the 2:00-2:20 mark. It had me in total awe and eargastic to my ears. That brass and cello parts was warm, along with the subtle choirs in the background has this hopeful feel to it.

Imagine Dune Part 3(if it comes out, hopefully) ending with the same theme… with alternating scenes from 2:27 between Paul’s children, Irulan, Jessica, the Fremen, and finally turning to a blind Paul walking out into the desert alone…
