Previously, 343 hadn't continued Bungie's legacy of great easter eggs. This time around, they've hidden some really fun stuff into Halo Infinite. It's been a while since I could explore a Halo world full of secrets, and so I had a blast making this video. I hope you enjoy it too!
*UPDATE: The 'Rat' might actually be a gopher, which you can see in the game.*
343 didn't continue Bungie's legacy of great easter eggs with Halo 4 & 5. Infinite finally brings them back. They've hidden some really neat stuff into this open world and I had a blast exploring it for this video. I really hope you enjoy it too, and thanks for watching!
That's debatable. Halo 4 and 5 had some great easter eggs! Halo 5 even had a race mode!

I just watched a video about the precursors, the beings before humans and for runners, and how humans used the rats or rabbits or gophers to experiment this dust they found from space that actually originated the flood. Wonder if that rat was the thing

I love how 343 embraced the Craig meme to the point of giving him his own little lore in Zeta Halo, it fills my heart with immense happiness.
There's several rare Grunt dialogue lines that make more direct references to Craig too. A Grunt will ask over a Propaganda Tower why people care so much about Craig and to focus more on others in the Covenant.

@@jessemartinez7701 The hidden panels usually just activate an airstrike when you press them all. The airstrike hits an area nearby where enemies are meant to be.

I found a toy version of the Arbiter on top of a mountain next to the new variant of the sniper rifle, I was just exploring and came across it. It was a great feeling!

If you continue going right you'll be near a skull, but be careful there are 2 red Hunters there guarding it
I found the Fernando Esparza plushie, few grunts, chief, arbiter.
You can also trigger hidden music if you stand on the end of a crashed ship near the start of the game
I was wondering about that! I got the music from standing there but wasn’t sure whether it was just coincidence or not. Though I made sure to try it again on the one shown in the video to confirm it
It started playing when I reached the peak of a mountain too. I think it triggers at the game's highest peaks.
@@FunWithGuru I cant remember exactly where because I was very tired at that point but there was a different area where the 1st song in the video played for me too, so you re right about it being about trigerring in high places
climbed up one mountain top and got different music to play
I got some rare music (not sure of it was an easter egg or not) from CE when I was near the catch skull, on the cliffs above.
I accidently came across the hidden song in a different spot while trying to find a high spot to enjoy the scenery and I could not wipe the smile from my face. It really is the little things that make this game great and stand out

I found a great schism Easter egg, it’s where you find the Spartan core just south of Pyramid Squad, there’s a ton of dead brutes and only Elites spawn there, guess they got their revenge.
I found one you missed, if you go behind the tunnel after you leave the elevator in the first mission you can find a forerunner door hidden in an alcove, go inside and you can find an arcade cabinet that plays the halo themes
Edit: by first mission I'm referring to the one right when you first get out into the open above ground.

the Craig thing (which i wasnt even aware of, just the picture of the weird Brute) was great. its appreciated when they slide in some in-development easter eggs like that. feels like back in the day a reference like that would be seen in the NEXT game.
Your videos still give the chills, most cinematic / eerie easter eggs on youtube. Like viewing relics lost to time, we wonder about the stories behind these easter eggs that so few know about.

Btw there is an amazing Easter of Craig that mint blitz found. There’s a mountain that looks like Craig’s face and another mountain next to it with grass on it referencing master chief hitting Craig like in the 2020 demo

We all love Bungie Halo's weird, funny and sometimes even disturbing easter eggs, i was pretty sad about not seeing so little of them in 4 and 5.
I am super happy to see 343 do this, with an open world like Zeta Halo it'd be kinda stupid of them not to include tons of easter eggs, we love 'em.
The people at 343 are funny as hell, Craig's band easter egg really cracked me up when i found it.
i have been subbed for years and i must say your editing skills especially in this video are EXCEPTIONALLY well done. when you cut off the 8 bit halo theme into the original chorus version of it was just so well done! i enjoy watching all of these videos :D

There's also a lot of easter eggs referencing Red vs. Blue in the armor hall! Pink is titled "Lightish Red" and the description for the logo of a plasma grenade stuck to the helmet "Is it a spider?"

There's another one with a loading screen saying; "do you ever wonder why we're here?" And it tells you on how you can change team colours
I think I found one, too. I don't remember where, there is one of these hexagonal pillars far deeper and a marine and grunt were trapped in it. Both built walls to be safe from the other and while there were red lights on the grunts side, there were no green but blue lights on the marine side.
Actually, when you first step into the ring, take a right and go down a little cave entrance.
You can find the same type of arcade machine inside from the multiplayer in a room with dead brutes and marines with cans everywhere.
Seemed like they partied a little too hard.
it's not always there. Some playthroughs it only contains the special heatwave that ricochets towards enemies, sometimes it's just filled with a few cloaked elites with swords.
@@AnHRTBus Exactly. I found the room when I first started the campaign, only had the heatwave. Came back AFTER completing the campaign, arcade machine was there. Wasn’t sure if story progress affects what’s in it, or if it’s just random.
@@justsayin4632 I don't think so, there's a flag being set somewhere, I've just no idea what triggers it.
I've got all 3 save files and a total of 5 playthroughs, only had it spawn the arcade machine once.
I stumbled on an escape pod that had two dead marines strewn outside of it exactly like in the original Halo when you first land on Installation 04. When Cortana says "the others...the impact".

The only one I personally found was the Craig rooftop tour one, and it was an accident due to me looking in the wrong place for a spartan core.
I found it a few hours after campaign release, and needless to say I was so hyped.

Okay one easter egg i found, once you already liberated the first outpost, then go down and behind the outpost. Go find a cave filled with dead brutes and marines and an arcade machine of Halo.
I found some more. At Outpost Tremonious, if you head behind the building you enter from for a bit you can find a forerunner doorway, inside is a Halo Infinite arcade cabinet.
Another one I found is another plushie, atop on of the high mountains in the middle portion of the map where the AA guns are. It’s of the Arbiter.
Even though I've lost my egg phase, I still come back here for the effort and insight.
Came across a Arbiter plush while exploring the mountains in the area with the 3 AA cannons, a data log and a modified sniper were things I also found on that mountain

I just realized that if you melee Craig's guitar, it plays small little rifs, lmao. Also there's a skull behind the speakers area, don't miss it!
You can find the arcade box playing the theme's in the campaign as well, behind the first encampment you start exploring free roam, behind the main building you leave from.
Still truly amazing how that Halo theme can bring me back to a time with so many good gaming memories. Music and games are incredible.
Found the Craig shrine first by accident and then the arcade cabinet while I was looking for audio logs. Also the hidden music cues are in multiple spots as well, most of them being at the top of something like a tower or mountain. Love that I found most of these on my own, great video.
the thing about easter eggs is that they can be so minor but make such an impact. we appreciate so little sometimes so it’s great. like flying on a plane is pretty shit but when they bring free snacks it makes us feel better but in reality you are paying for them because the ticket was $400. finding spots in a game that trigger music is such a small thing but it is so nice and cool to experience and find on your own and not have them be so hidden that you can never find them.
There's a picture frame of him on the cliff side toward the final mission where you save the pilot.
"Alright guys lets delay the game and fix Craig, the rest of you just fill the game with easter eggs and sandwiches."
If you go there on the day Craig became a meme or change the date on your console, Craig is actually up there playing music.

As an OG Xbox Player of Halo 1 and 2 back in the day, I'm so glad to see how incredibly well Infinite is being reviewed and received by the community. I went to Playstation during the 360/PS3 days onward, but it genuinely makes me so happy to see Halo getting the games it deserves. Infinite truly does look amazing.

I would like to say the Toys versions are a reference to halo 2 and halo 2 anniversary, if anyone remembers you can find some toy versions of characters in that version, along with the Anniversary edition that had a grunt being teased with the Toy he played depending on the difficulty.

Oh man, the themes take me back. I shed a tear or two for times passed. I grew up on halo, played CE the day it came out. My young self had no idea what I was getting into, but I wouldn't trade those memories for anything.
4:57 you can also find those machines in the campaign world. Had a laugh when I found them, far before seeing them in the multiplayer map.

I thought that the slab was a rat reference but now that I think about it, it looks more like those armadillo/mole creatures that you encounter on the surface. I feel like rat would make more sense but it just doesn't look right to me.
there is one of those halo arcade machines in the campaign too, if you turn around as soon as u first get into the open world, you'll come to a door, and its in there playing the theme. and maybe a spartan core? I can't remember.

You can also find the Infinite arcade machine in campaign, if you go backwards into the cave from the first outpost you clear out following the music it leads to a small room with a few dead marines and a brute

There is also an Arbiter or Elite toy on the top of one of the mountains to the east if I recall. Weird thing is, it stood up on its own and wouldn’t fall back down.

halo is like the most legendary game. it was one of the first games i played when i was 3 or 4 on xbox 360, me and my dad had every one including halo wars now we sold them all😔 but i have the xbox one with the master chief collection
there's a Echo-213 toy on top of a mountain too. and an arcade machine that plays the classic halo theme just behind of the crashed ship during the first few mission

you can find one of the old game machines playing the various halo themes behind the first place you take over in the game. the same place you can get the cannon weapon at the start.

You can also find one of the retro machines in the campaign. It's in a slightly obscure room, I just so happened to stumble upon it.
You forgot to include an easter egg where you can find an arcade machine in a cave at the right of the first base you capture after emerging to Zeta halo! WONDERFUL video! ❤️
you can even find another arcade machine around the map as well but i can’t quite remember where it was though, because it was unexpected for me to find it in the first place
Hitting the guitar also makes it play and the Banshee’s start up sound sounds like the original Xbox start up
There’s also a toy Arbiter on a mountain peak. In the area where you have to destroy those three Banished facilities (maybe big weapons, can’t remember) to progress
And a toy for Echo 216
