Right? Like, this is amazing. I remember the CD-I when it was relatively new because I'm approximately one million years old, but I don't remember anything looking this good on the CD-I in general. Even the live action stuff was like, what? What the fuck? lmao (Edit: can't write when tired lmao)
The CDi was a fairly powerful console, surprisingly, 16M colours (with 32K on screen at one time), decent resolution, 8 channel ADPCM sound chip, a whole 1MB of RAM, all in 1991. Problem is, using that RAM and the CD format would be difficult, as a lot of optimization would be thrown out the window due to it being fucking 1991. And the controllers were honestly really shit. I'm still not 100% sure as to why it tanked so hard, barring the fact that manufacturers couldn't lose some money on the consoles because they didn't get royalties for sold software. That kept the prices high.

To be fair, I think there is actual gameplay in this game. You chose the option of the "Bearstain's on their own" and I think you need to pick "you on your own".
Okay that was hilarious. But it is possible to interact with the game, you just chose the "watch" option by clicking the Window. If you click the map you can go to different places and interact. They explained it at the start.

Well, for one he was comparing it to the CDI Zelda's, specifically the animated parts before they realized it was nothing but animated parts. And I agree, the animation is vastly superior to the CDI Zelda's.
Gabriel Anderson it helps that there was a tv show for this; the expressions in this game actually look fantastic; especially during the mustard scene.
The character modelling is just like it is in the books, that alone makes it far superior to the Zelda animations on CD-i.
