It did for me last year , i drained it s fuel put fresh fuel in it no start , starter fluid no go, flip the machine up and remove the bowl and the jets very easy , holes were clogged. They get gunked up from the dam ethanol ,even with stablizer wont work sometimes . This machine is brand new my craftsman used 2 times , it is ridiculous that i need to go through this almost ever year .

First snow in almost two years and wouldn't you know it the ole snow blower would not start. Checked for spark which looked good and the plug looked wet but No fire at all. Tried your trick and sure enough she fired right up for a second or two. Drained the old gas and replaced it with fresh and I am back in business. Thanks!!!!!!! Just as a side note I did start the blower a couple months ago and I noticed it didn't start as fast as usual but I didn't think that meant trouble ahead. I was wrong.

Use canned gas, and Seafoam in the fuel tank with the gas from now on; no more starting issues.

Great video. I know people seem to like silent videos but I’m old school. I like knowing what’s going through someone’s mind to go to tge next step. Maybe I missed it, but did you remove a bolt to get that opening you sprayed carburetor cleaner in? It’s weird because every other engine I’ve ever seen has an air filter, but guessing there’s no dust blowing snow, lol. Ones with an air filter are easy to give a shot of starter fluid, etc. thanks, I need to get mine running, snow is on the way!

@@31careloco I watched this one, so that’s good to try. Sometimes it just needs to get started, then it will run? It seemed the first video I saw, may have been your channel, they sprayed carburetor cleaner in what looked like a little hole in the engine top from what I recall, no worries, thanks again

Is this product the same as Carb/Choke and parts cleaner?? That's what I was able to find on the internet

3:42 you didn't tighten the spark plug enough. And you didn't fix anything. The "Carburetor Cleaner" is highly flammable and that's WHY the snowblower started. Spraying that cleaner into the cylinder washes off the protective coating of oil and the carburetor cleaner seeps down past the rings and gets into the oil which thins it out and will lead to premature bearing failure. If the snow blower is hard starting take the carburetor apart ( find somebody that knows how to take it apart ) and then soak it in a parts cleaning tank for several hours. then rebuild it.

Or you can just spray carb cleaner in the spark plug hole and save like a gazillion hours. Life = too short. YOLO! 😂
