    Funny how BPRP managed to simplify the radical expression more than the online calculator did

      My handheld Casio fx-CG50 returns the results as -9*sqrt(5)+4*sqrt(3)

      ​@alihms Seems like your handheld calculator is better at simplifying than this online calculator
      Just goes to show how it's better to do things by hand then by an online calculator since they can be wrong or use improper formatting or fail to simplify properly

    No 3×15 becasue that is harder or genuinely impossible?
    Curious.

      That factoring (a) doesn't get you anywhere and (b) 15 still factors to 3*5, so you end up with sqrt(3)*sqrt(3)*sqrt(5), which (obviously) becomes 3*sqrt(5)

      Simplify the radicand as much as possible. 9*5 is better than 3*15 because the radicand portion 5
