Since Peter Sagan retired, I thought I should make a tribute video about him.

You seem to be a big fan of him. So am I. How do u feel about a few last years of his career.? It was painful for me watching him loosing and couldnt stand for his name. Some riders keep winning after 30 years, but that wasnt Peters case unfortunately.

I'm a huge fan of Sagan. He recognized my channel back in 2016 when I had 5k subs.
I feel like Sagan wasn't enjoying it when everyone was going full gas (2020 & onwards). I remember when he was asked during his prime about retirement, he replied that he would retire when he stops enjoying racing.

A very nice tribute to a man who transcended the sport. That amount of talent and charisma is priceless and almost impossible to replicate. Cycling was lucky to have him. 👑

There can be so many great riders in the past and present but no one like this one. Not even close.
A simple guy coming from the small city in Slovakia, not boostered by any great team, big money or ideal conditions. Only with big talent and taste. The one that fulfilled that talent to the top.
The gamechanger, he made cycling so popular again, made people come to see it and made young guys look up to him. He showed them, that impossible is possible. These guys that are already in the peloton making miracles these days.
Cycling wouldn't be the same without him.
He is forever rockstar of the peloton!

Without any exageration, Peter Sagan is the greatest, yes and he is a saviour, 3 Times World Champion successively, 7 green jersey in Tour de France, after the damn generation that make cycling worst, even normal people see cycling as a bad disicpline due the Armstron doping and more cyclist. Sagan changed the whole idea, charisma, talent, humble, a good human being, love people and his fans. He is an icon, i started cycling and growing with him. Perer is a Icon for the sport, he is no comparable with any one with all respect to new talended Generation like Pogacar, Van art and more.... Sagan is a legend forever

Peter Sagan and Michal Kwiatkowski, two straightforward men from countries not normally associated with top-line cyclists - both world champions - had epic battles. They made the cycling in the 2010's must watch TV. Another superb Rifianboy video: but that all cycling commentators were as objective! Thank you

He did. He was everything we needed for cycling not be be swallowed in the US POstal scandal and how boring SKy were gonna make every single race with their tactics. He's the greatest bike handler EVER and a true pioneer because he didn't care about tactics and simply depended on himself and his skills to win.... And he was always either the best, strongest or smartest guy though he didn't always win. There will never be another rider like him and thank god I was there to see him and idolize him. Without him Cycling would likely be dead or dying. Him winning in Richmond changed cycling forever cause that was all skill like we'd never seen before. Thank you Peter, for everything.

What a nice tribute. I only started watching cycling a few years ago but I've went back to watch some of Peter's victories. As much as I adore the current crop of cyclists no one matches his exuberance and charisma. And the sheer talent he displayed was amazing.

Beautiful tribute to Tourminator. 🙌 …I uset to watch only TdF as a kid, but Peter made me to tune to every race in the calendar and I keep watching year around ever since. He was definitely first to do what many new stars are doing now with style, attitude to racing and going against rusty ways how to do cycling. First youngster to go Great. I am very disappointed that he didn’t get huge good-bye party in peloton and media this year as he is living legend that remained himself and despite insane results would never be connected to dirty cheating like stars of not so much previous generation.
    Cheers from Slovakia. ❤

Sagan was a failure. his winning streak was ruined by a corrupt judge and this made him think about fairness in this sport and made him lose motivation. he didn't want to follow Sean Kelly's advice who told him that green shirts don't count for anything. If you don't win the classics you're nobody.

  • @germanXII1
    @germanXII1 7 месяцев назад

well, I agree he was entertaining and fresh. but the push of cavendish into the barriers at the tour has to be mentioned, even if it taints his rosy image you try to pass on here. the malice of it deleted all the good he brought for the sport.

No it was me . I'm the one who changed cycling training.
I'm the one who first started using structure training using intervals .
It's not about the machines. It's about who creates the tools to make the machines. That is me.

@@dr80008 what I've spoken is 100% fact. I couldn't lie even if I wanted my Strava would rat me out.
No one on this planet or any other planet has the proof that I have. If professionals tell you that structure training has been used in the last five years and my Strava dates back way further than that and the only thing you see is structures training. What would you think?
I was the one arguing with everybody. You probably weren't even born.
This is an endurance sport. Nobody wanted to believe what I was saying and they were saying that I was out of my mind and a troll on steroids.
Everything I've said is the absolute truth without a doubt. Like I said I couldn't lie even if I wanted
