A Little Bit About Me:
I am a recent Computer Science graduate with a B.S. in Computer Science and a double concentration in Cyber Security and Cloud Computing at Louisiana Tech University. My technical interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering/Development. My career path interests are to be a part of an innovative, technological company that is working to make people's lives more convenient, increase productivity, and make society a safer place. I also played NCAA D1 Soccer all four years of my undergrad.
7 minutes has taught me well about installation and the "Hello World" tradition, and infinitely more helpful than a 3 hour lecture ever will.
fr lmao
OMG! Thank you SOOO much for making this video. I had VS code installed but didn't quite understand setting the path and a few other things. You really did an excellent job of explaining how it works. Brains AND looks, ...rare combination. Great Job!
Please don't tell people to blindly choose the Oracle JDK without mentioning that they better review Oracles' license since they may charge you for using it. Instead people should choose an appropriate release from Open JDK which is open source and free to use without nasty licensing schemes from Oracle.
Right to the point. Thanks. For windows users when configuring the jdk path, make sure you use the escape character for "\" for example c:\\jdk
Can you please tell how to setup launch and settings.Json for java

you saved my programming life , I was stuck in this since nearly two months , thank you very very much

Question: when I followed your steps the text ("Hello") got printed in the terminal as expected but when I change the code and run it, it still shows me the same text "Hello"... WHY??? How do I fix it?
Great video btw!

Wonderful video! Quick question - is there an equivelant GUI editor in VS Code for Java - similar to WindowBuilder in Eclipse?
What if I don't see the Java folder on settings?
I need help, my screen does show any terminal. I downloaded the latest java pack as instructed by the IDE but i don't know what to do next.
I’m assuming you are trying to say “my screen doesn’t show any terminal”. You can access that at the bottom left hand corner, click on the tab with the triangle. Then your terminal will pop up
How do you have the 1080p video option, but when I upload videos, the video is always maximum 720p60fps, it does not go to 1080p-HD.
When I am creating the video, I make sure it’s in 1080p, as well as my monitor being 1080p
@@stellali3972 okay, thanks 😊😊
I did not see the "Java.home" line under proxy
Awesome and helpful instructions. Thank you :)
Learned something new today!
Hello , sorry but i need help :/
How can i put the jdk in visual estudios ?
After you download the JDK file (I used Oracle), then go to the bottom left corner of VS Code
- click the gear -> settings -> Application -> Proxy
- Under proxy authorization -> click edit in settings.json
- look for your "java.home" line and your code should look like: "java.home" : "{your path to where you stored your downloaded jdk file}"
Hope this helps!
Finally, a video in plain English. These other videos weren't helping.
Also, thanks for the cute icons
