I love the way they made the rechargeable battery operation so that you can charge one while using the other. That’s very user friendly. For locks that work with Apple Home, this is a great retrofit option. Yes, that’s largely from very limited competition but it’s also from a nice looking design.

Great review! I love switchbot and I honestly think they are heading in a fantastic direction. I am loving that this lock has a sleek look and uses the matter hub so everyone has the option on what smart home platform they want to use it with. I think this is a good upgrade from the original lock and I think they addressed all the issues with the previous one such as mounting. Switchbot definitely listens to their customers and I love supporting companies like this. I would love to add this to my back door to make it more secure and easier to entry/exit. I also love the all black look and the fingerprint keypad option. This lock would definitely help me and my girlfriend who forgets to lock the door after letting the dogs out lol. Keep up the great reviews!

It is definitely nice to have something like this for my apartment. since my daughter likes to go out with her friends and forgotten once to lock the door. so be able to know that the door is locked or not locked just by checking really quick would be nice. I definitely appreciate the review and will be looking into getting one since I don't want to ruin the door so I don't have to pay for the repairs not it being my own house. The rechargeable batteries is super nice so definitely going to look into getting one thank you for the awesome review you did.

Can you open the lock remotely if you have the Hub and it’s connected to WiFi and Alexa? For instance you are away from home, and a family member unexpectedly arrives and needs to get in.
after one time been locked out by forgetting key….start thinking to buy smart lock, but couldn’t find the one really convincing me.

I could really use a new smart lock, one that works with Apple HomeKit. The one I first bought won't even connect to the internet anymore so I can only use the keypad. I recently bought some SwitchBot blind controllers.
Great video on the SwitchBot pro. I like the option to have rechargeable batteries to get the longer life cycle. And the big savings of not buying more batteries one and done. The figure print reader is nice too and key pad.

The universal compatibility would be great for my use case.
I like the way they updated the lock. With no glue and now you just remove the back of the lock and add on the updated lock. I like the fact that you can add rechargeable batteries. And you can charge one and leave one in the lock. And the best part of all it works with Apple Home 👏. And who doesn’t love a new smart lock in there smart home

I would use the lock so my kids wouldn't need keys. Being 10 and 13 they tend to lose things and I dread the day when they lose their house key and can't get in and they are stuck outside until my husband or I get home. With the keypad, they will be able to get in.
