Each month I will upload a video, of about 10 minutes long, showcasing a particular make or model of car. This month I'm celebrating the Honda Civic, including generations such as the EK, FD and EP, and models such as the Type-R, Jordan and Wagon. Just wait until Vtec finally kicks in. CleanMotorSport RacingAssociation 6.6 sec 0-60 is pretty slow but for an NA car it isn’t too bad. Why don’t we just respect everyone’s builds? If they like it, then they like it.

19:43 easily the best sounding car. Super clean, crisp sound. It’s not too loud, but not too quiet. The most important part is that it’s not super raspy or metallic sounding

It's turbo , a properly balanced Honda shows in the pull , if it sounds clean and moves that's a balanced Honda turbo or not . Something else you should note if a Honda is loud only when you need it to be that a balanced Honda

If there is 1 car that will always give it 100% , it's a Civic. A sound that gladens the heart.
As much as people hate the civics you cant be blind to the fact they actually have power(200bhp+) More than most of the haters 1.0 corsa have.
And the fact some are 15+ years old.
Just for proportion my polo only has 200bhp and its new, (but DSG ftw)

@@edd95gti85 if both have the same power the one with a turbo wins every time, because it has a tonne more torque and the peak power is much lower in the rev range
Edit: and weight is a factor ofc. Ep3s are pretty heavy, 1250kg or so
@@BIAWolf im not sure of the weight but its definitely heavier than a civic but i think it will be lose close one as civic wont have turbo lag but then i wont have the dip imbetween shits being DSG so anyones guess really. But 0-60 is claimed 6.7secs i believe but with decent tyres i can see that being better.

@@Deon2 I used to hate autos for years (mostly before I started working for my license). I have an issue with my nerves so I failed the test twice now and have one last chance, so to go easy on those nerves I accepted driving an automatic. In the past 5 months I've been driving these autos, they've actually grown on me. I'd still prefer a manual for the fun of it, as when I'm not being tested I actually do enjoy driving, but I wouldn't mind having an automatic.
Btw am I the only car guy here, who's really having trouble getting their license? Because when I'm driving normally everyone usually says I'm really good at it and some even go as far as putting me in front of my parents, but when I'm getting tested I just lose it... Anyone else had an experience like this?

It is actually crazy how different the same engine can sound. You can definitely tell not all exhausts are equal

I'm not the biggest civic fan. Remember once though me and a friend were in his focus ST and a civic like the one in the thumbnail pulled up to us. Not sure what one it is. The thing was jacked. Not over done and pure black. Must admit I was impressed. Thing was beautiful both machine wise and how well the guy done it and kept it looking great. Amazing what caring for your car can do.

@@RottenWeeblet went beyond the factory rev limit by a country mile. That's a money shift. Them valves were dancing under the bonnet.
@@Weihrauch88 it isn’t a money shift if you go above the rev limit, it’s a money shift if you accidentally shift a gear down instead of up, like gear 1, 2 and then accidentally to 1 again instead of 3. In this case he jusy missed a shift.
@@RottenWeeblet 20 likes on my comment say otherwise but let's agree to disagree. He went well beyond the factory rev limit. You can clearly hear it and the ploom of black smoke as he done so should be the giveaway. You can't over rev it any other way than putting it in 2nd instead of 4th.
Civic drivers that can pull away without hitting the rev limiter are the real MVPs.
Idc what people think about them, for me they have their specific sound, that cannot be mistaken for any other engine sound. The NA sounds mad but the turbo ones (except FK2 and FK8 - they sound like shit) send the shivers down your spine.
Most people that slate them haven't driven/owned them, just people being sheep and getting into this big bhp turbo hatchback thing... Honda's type r ethos has always been about driver involvement and satisfaction, sadly that's what's missing from modern heavy turbo hatches.
Agree that the old vtec sounds better than the new turbo vtec.👍
thank you i dont hear allot of people say that, i like every single honda they are cheap to buy en to mod. i like the sound and fun. People say they are slow but it haves 120hp stock thats normal. Some pepeople say they are boring o hellll nooo i drove a tuned vtec and its more scary than a tuned rwd bmw m3 because of the fwd and it had 250hp. Thank you for suporting the civic crew :)
