Hey, MK! I just followed you on Ream. Looking forward to reading some of your stuff. Your videos are great. I discovered you when I found the video on free ISBNs. I've been telling anyone who will listen not to get the free ones. I am on Ream as Susan McKenzie and I write sci-fi and fantasy. I'm only just getting started on there and I like the idea of being Ream Friends.

Thanks for the info...hadn't heard of Ream, but will definitely check them out as I'm moving away from Galatea/Inkitt. I'm tired of battling with werewolves for shelf space. ;) LOL Also, backing up to cloud source. I work in IT, if you use Microsoft's OneDrive, they have versioning. Meaning, you can go backward and restore a file from a previous date. Very helpful feature when dealing with corrupted files. I've been bit in the rear a few times by external drives going bad, I don't trust them at all for really important stuff.

    Thank you for this video.
I think it would be interesting to have a comparison video Ream vs Patreon.
I noticed on other sites that in the end, compared to Patreon, you pay 20% in total fees to Ream, whereas you pay 12% to Patreon. That's quite a difference.
Also, having to have everything on Google Drive to be able to upload it to Ream seems.... like an extra step. First you need to make sure the documents are correct in Google.
If you were able to use PDF instead, it would be more logical, I think.
I don't think I will post my future books like that, but who knows, maybe it is interesting for the future 😄

Interesting. I'm always curious and willing to try new options. I'll keep the channel updated on my experiments.

Wow, a benefit only an author who is on top of their ish would even see--updating files one piece at a time for minimal overwhelm and corruptibility!! (PS, so sorry about that horror story)

Great content. Anybody know what size the letters need to be for printed paperbook. Made in Canva. And docs? And what size the ebooks in Canva and docs? Many thanks in forward. 😊

So I generally recommend to never use Canva to format your book. Iunless it is a low content journal you should either hire someone to format the print and eBook or learn scribus or calibre to format it yourself ruclips.net/video/g4oR0zX8ZmA/видео.html
