I@@argonianale5716 I agree. I liked it more when there was a greater difference between ammo types, guns, and variants. The longer the game lives the more everything feels like it's melding together and individual weapons lose their specific use case. Why pick the specialized tool when the all-rounder with an add-on can fulfill it better? Backwards game design.

Dum dum is the only thing keeping Cent somewhat relevant.
@@jesterclownmimeCentennial is by far the best rifle for FMJ and a good rifle in general for a few reasons
1.) FMJ makes it pen 2 layers of metal at any distance
2.) Damage range is doubled from 20m to 40m
3) Headshot range is increased to 218m
4) Centennial has the fastest FMJ in the game at 480m/s
5) it holds 10 rounds, easily allowing you to take on multiple hunters without reloading
6) its got access to levering to shred bosses
7) Standard & Poison bullets are fast AF at 600m/s
8) The gun carries 22 rounds total
The levering is terrible, why even run it just to shred bosses? FMJ and other custom ammo exists merely to make smaller ammo types less terrible substitutes for long ammo. All truly good compact and long ammo rifles have plenty of rounds chambered with fast reloads. Its okay but I would much rather take a spammy compact gun for close range or a bolt action long ammo rifle and back it up with fanning or a double action pistol. Its a gun that sounds good on paper but severely underperforms in action compared to other guns that completely outclass it and should only be run on a budget. Crytek knows this and gives it away for free off horses and towers. I run contraband Cents as a novelty to change things up but otherwise there are far better options. @@larss.5889
Adding the centennial was a mistake. Period. The thing is a piece of trash, and the only rifle in the game without a solid Identity or role.
Its not a winnie since levering on it sucks and is unreliable.
Its not a long range rifle since medium ammo just plain sucks with damage drop off.
Its not a push tool because of its fire rate.
Its not a spam rifle because it doesnt have enough ammo, and reloading takes for ever.
Its not a support or rush tool since it doesnt have any Utility other then a trauma variant Nobody ever picks.
And its not a peel rifle either, since the damage is a joke.
It can do all of these things just barely. If it works for the player, chances are the player is just good at the game and the centennial is just a placebo, and when they learn other guns, they never go back to the centennial ever again due to the lacking portfolio it bolsters.
If the only saving grace is muzzle velocity, then congratulations on being the fastest at being useless.
I don't know if it's due to compression or what but I swear there were like 5 different silent nades in this video. The fuse was completely silent to me until it was almost right at his feet.
Hornet could make a video for every weapon in the game and call them all S tier weapons

i can never understand why some iron sights are cleaner and better than others - isn't there just a 'best shape' that all guns should have - it's just a bit of metal - the thick blob on the cenntennial could just be filed away to make it thin like the basic winfields . be great to have an iron sight perk, where you could swap them out for your fav.

I knew there'd be a video like this coming. The moment I saw the new ammo types it got I immediately thought "I bet when the event is over, this thing is gonna rock", since otherwise bleed was useless due to Infernal Pact before lo.
Not nearly as many people running Bloodless and Infernal as you think. Bleed was good throughout the event.

I love the cenny. 600m/s, cheap, large mag, early unlock, good sights. Perfect head tap machine
the point is about DUM DUM making it deal more than 125 and applying intense bleed regardless the range.

gotta love bleed, i think any bleed gun med ammo with a side arm with pen like new army or scotfield spitfire is just perfect incase they go behind cover u spam that cover down. and prob for night maps i love to replace with fire instead of bleed cuz they cant see anything and u can clearly see them

Bloodless only stops the bleeding from getting worse which doesn't help if it's intense already

@@Samael27 It entirely stops bleeding from being anything more than light - you cannot have intense or severe bleeding while running bloodless. You need to use the trait more, I think.
the dark maps in videos seem to be brighter than what i experience. is there anything that people use to brighten? Or is it in video editing

I just want to say I have been using it since the reaper bundle and it has always been underrated but it also sucks seeing other people using it because more people will start to understand it better.
they didnt start to understand it better, it got DUM DUM rounds which gives 125+ damage kills on torso, its also applies intense bleeding (so 6 to 10 damage per tick based on range) which means at 20 meters after you got hit in upper torso with it - you have around 6 seconds to stop bleeding or you die to it. The fact that some dude can chase you while you doing it doesnt help.
So bassicaly cent become better at sub 20m range because torso oneshots and bleeding pressure, and it become better at range because bleeding would partialy compensate for damage drop with range

You're the one that doesn't comprehend the Cent. People weren't bamboozled by it before, it wasn't a secret weapon, it was a basic rifle before with less damage than long ammo and without the fast firing speed of compact, Dum Dum changes it quite a bit and easier to play around it because it has no pen and slower velocity. Something like the Mosin Sniper with Spitzer, the Dolch, Nitro, Explosive Crossbow, these are weapons that can challenge new and old players trying to play around them.@@pixelgamer5617

agreed it’s not a great rifle by any means but bleed definitely makes it so annoying rather than skillful to fight
The centennial is probably the best rifle before you unlock the semi auto long rifles. It’s ammo, fire rate, and capacity plus high bullet velocity with fmj make it a good substitute for long ammo. It’s like a budget krag
Basic Winfield with HV or FMJ and levering/iron repeater is superior. Dum dum gives the Cent a bit of a niche edge. The Krag fires faster, it is the budget long ammo rifle and really all you need for most shootouts.

@@jesterclownmime it's not niche at all.... you literally get fucked by the heavy bleed even by shit players. I play solo mostly and it basically means you're fucked if you get tagged and the trio no brain pushes. I've noticed I die more and more because I can't see shit from fire ammo and heavy bleed turns me into a kitten. If they tag me with another bullet type I would just try and aim duel them for the headshot or run to heal....with heavy bleed I can't run or duel them.
Sometimes you just need to either have consumables to stall players like concertina bombs or eat the bleed/burn and mow them down before you die. If you're playing within 60m and are not in 5/6 star lobbies where bleed rounds are far less common, Bloodless should be your third trait as a solo after you have Necro and Resilience. If you're really struggling maybe opt for Serpent instead for quick easy bounties. Solos have a lot more to worry about than teams. Antidote, Salve Skin, Bloodless, these are niceties that can come in handy in a team. As a solo they are mandatory as you don't have anyone to cover for you. If you get downed, all three will help you get back up if someone has trapped and/or burned your body. Generally I just use cover to sneak into shotgun range or play from afar with a scoped rifle so I don't have to worry about bleed at all.@@ramsaybolton9151

The scary part of it getting effected by the buff is it can one tap at 125. The bleed only has to tick once to kill. Helping to fix one of the caveats of the gun.

At intense bleeding it will take around 4-6 seconds before you die to it if you got hit on the torso

It was 7 seconds when I tested it with the centennial shorty but I can't recall if their damage output is different than the full one.
@@benzfabro what the commenter meant was the 1 tap to downed hunters. But bleed also increases the likelihood of getting a 2 tap as even arm shots deal decent dmg with bleed.

when all gun 1 hit in head (ok shotgun range exist but slug....) i get like posion, bleed, faster bullet, pen and all shit on like all guns now, it dosent even matter what gun you use the in game any more, everything is equal, only thing that matters is skill and skin.

Even without bleeding it is a great gun with high muzzel velocity and fast firing. For me its absolutely the gun i have the most headshots with and one of my absolute favourites. Just because you cant make it work for you doesn't mean its not s tier

Cenny has always been s tier haha love that gun. Cenny bleed is very good at applying pressure. At 35m or less though. Unless you hit headshots :) hornet is just very good at the game

Dum dum Cent isn't overpowered, bleed barely keeps it relevant. Otherwise Compact and Long ammo rifles are still far superior.

The iron sight is bad, the gun looks bland it sounds shit and it doesn't work with perks very well on top of having next to no backup ammo.
