Depends your daily calorie index. To much cardio can break down and affect the synthesis of protein and recovery and hypertrophy and in some scenario you should not run daily, especially if your are gaining muscle and you are close to your fitness weight. That's why most of the runner develop a different kind of hypertrophy to a person that do exercise it in the gym, also runner usually have skinny legs, strong but not at the same level of a person that train in the gym.
Running it's the best exercise for cardio.

I bought into the high intensity cardio fad for a long time. Especially since I have always been an athlete. Stuff like hill sprints, burpees, Prowler, battle rope, etc.
But in all honesty, it never did a ton for fat loss and ultimately effects recovery and sleep patterns. Trying to keep up the performance training and lifting was a losing battle.
Now I do 20 min of max incline treadmill walking not holding on 3x per week after full body lifting sessions. Other than that I walk outdoors 1-2hrs daily just to be generally active. I feel so much better, I sleep way better, I'm stronger, and way leaner with a much higher BMR and maintenence calorie intake.

Cardio is good for overall health for sure.
I would say if your trying to build muscle and also wanna have a good and strong and healthy cardiovascular system you I would recommend low intensity cardio like walking. Doing a lot of running or cycling could potentially affect your recovery.
But then again there are people who run a lot and lift weights and have really good physiques naturally. But I would say if your gonna do that, make sure you getting good sleep in and getting a good amount of calories unless your using intense cardio as a tool to lose weight.

Cardio is a key component to intense workouts because if you’re out of breath then you can’t put 100% into your lifts also I’ve seen some people do no cardio at all and just try to lift weights for 2 hours instead….if you’re trying to do your weights and cardio done at the same time then your gains will be massively hindered. @@vaibhav_nitesh The idea that you need cardio to train you heart is a total myth, lifting weights with high intensity and short rest times regularly is plenty of work for your heart

I have been doing my cardio on days in between lifting. I lift three days a week. But I am not looking to compete either.

I separated my days full body compound lifts only for 1.5hours or cardio for 1.5 hours boxing mma agility ladders jump rope hardcover stuff. I love crawling out the gym but I have to separate my insane cardio from my weight lifting days(train to failure). But you have to do what works best for your body we are all different. I'm 36, 14% body fat at 5'9 just trying to train for longevity.

It's key if you wanna live longer while using gear, tons of people die from cardiovascular disease so 10-15k steps daily and 1 hiit workout weekly i think is key for few years until you did build it up abit

For naturals test levels drop after 45 mins so split it up. Do cardio warm up and train. And stints of cardio separate

Never forget, the most important muscle in our body is the HEART.
Therefore, give it cardio (with means "heart" btw.)
