I've been meaning to watch this film for months and it didn't disappoint! I love Amy's character, I love the way she pushes Laurie and makes him better and how different their love is, compared to how he feels for Jo.

SAME would have a lot of potential
Greta's interpretation of the novel is just splendid- when she does the flashbacks and flashforwards, the colors obviously change. For Jo, the future is darker because she is not with her sisters anymore. I think Amy's past was darker because she always felt overshadowed by Jo at home, and in Europe she is able to shine without her sisters. I think many people were confused by the flashbacks, but I seem to be someone who really wasn't- I think it was quite clear.

I think Greta gave them just enough to prove to the Jo and Laurie stans that he and Amy are a better match without taking away from the general favoritism that comes with jo. But I agree with you. Although I dont think I could get enough of these two even if we got a whole movie of just amy and laurie, so I'll settle for a beautiful beginning.

I love this couple. I see Laurie and Jo as best friends and despite the platonic passion he felt for her, it was always very clear that she never loved her romantically speaking. Even in the end, when she was going to send the letter, she would do it for security and knowing that he loved her. They don't make sense as a couple.
Amy awakens in Laurie the mature love, they have the same ambitions for the future. And I love how even loving him since always she always imposes herself on him, and that was how he actually saw who Amy, the relationship was shaping and changing with maturity and he started to love her.

I honestly don't like jo because she always played like that sibling who makes u feel inferior to them but tables turned when amy went to Europe and achieved what she wanted. Amy is always my favourite both in book and movie. I adore laurie and her together. Jo never loved him so it was a good decision to end up with someone who loves u in return.

I watched this movie with my best friend and he said that Amy kinda seemed like Laurie’s back-up plan . I loved them too but since they were not given a lot of screen time it just seems he loved Jo more . If you guys have some explanation I would love to know . 😄😄
I don't think Laurie was such a guy. That could be done only if he was obsessed and so egotistical to take advantage of Amy's love for him. And March are not stupid people , they would feel if something was wrong and he didn't love Amy truly and would've tried to save her from this marriage.
