I think the big difference between Schwarzenegger and The Rock is that Arnold worked with directors like James Cameron and John McTiernan. For the most part, The Rock works with a handful of directors who are basically yes men for him.
As much as I liked Black Adam I do wish The Rock would go back to doing movies like The Rundown or Walking Tall. I loved him as Hobbs in Fast Five and I know some people didn't care for them but at least he was trying to do something different being in films like Faster, Pain & Gain and Snitch, but its just been a bunch of generic stuff since then.
Haha hillarious Good one I do agree The Rock does do the same thing over & over again but I Love The Rock he’s one a my favorite Black actors just needs to make more R Rated Action Films
I still like the rock and most of his movies mainly because of his days in WWE which was a major part of my life so I have a soft spot for him but he does need to do better. I’ve been saying this for years, he needs to do more R rated films.
Oh this is very interesting lol. To be straight up, we all know The Rock can act if he wanted. But that’s never going to happen because he simply wants to just make money and keep his image.
I Liked Empire State too with The Rock that’s a decent Heist Action Film, Pretty Underrated With him & Liam Hemsworth, But It’s definitely 1 of my Least Favorites Of The Rock
I Love The Mummy Returns, The Rundown, Walking Tall 2004, Doom, Race To Witch Mountain, The Other Guys, Faster, Fast & Furious 5, 7, & 8, Journey 2, Pain & Gain, San Andreas, Central Intelligence, Rampage 2018, Hobbs & Shaw, & Black Adam those are my Favorites Of The Rock
Great video Matt. Pretty hard to believe that now The rocks movie career is now longer than his wrestling career it's a pity that he was never a villain in a expendables movie dispute having interesting in doing so
if an expendables 5 happens I would like to see rock in it and if disney got their shit together with marvel and even star wars I wouldnt mind rock join them too
The Rock HAD a lot of charisma. I dunno WTF happened to it. Seems like in his more recent movies he's just phoning it in. He doesn't commit to the bit anymore, he just wants that paycheck.
I love rock since wwf smackdown and have been fan of his movies all the way ever since but yea dude gets piles of movie scripts thats why hes in every movie! im proud of his career and how far hes come since his wrestling days.
4:02 He actually said that in that Viking Samurai pod cast he did when he was promoting "Accident Man 2" 8:49 Agreed bro sadly Jason Statham's filmography isn't any better either. 11:08 Yes! I'm so glad you brought that up I thought I was the only one who noticed that. 13:40 I love"The Rundown" I never get tired of watching it. 14:22 I never cared for his"Walking Tall" remake I much prefer the 1973 version with Joe Don Baker instead but that's just me. 15:13 Ok I know I'm going catch shit over this bro but I actually enjoy"Be Cool" a lot more then"Get Shorty" yes I know "Be Cool" is PG-13 but I still found more funnier then the first film I enjoy the cast a lot more too IMHO. 15:23 I don't hate that film anymore as I use to mainly for 2 reasons 1.The Rock does a wonderful job as the villain plus he's going up against my Dredd himself Karl Urban. 2. Thanks to that very shitty straight to VOD "Doom" film was ended up with in 2019 made me love the 2005 film more LOL. 16:41 It sure was I believe that was the very first film of his that he would start using his real name? 17:14 That film is just to GOD DAMN LONG of a film LOL.
I Love The Rock Aka Dwayne Johnson, he’s 1 of my Favorite Action Stars & Black Actors, very Witty & Charismatic, But I do agree Matt I’d Love to see him in the future do a lot of R-Rated Action Films similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Classic R Rated Action Films
The Films Of The Rock I Like But are my Least Favorites Of his IMO The Scorpion King, Be Cool, Get Smart, Snitch, G. I. Joe 2, Empire State, Fast & Furious 6 & X, Hercules 2014, Jumanji 2017 & Jumanji 2, Skyscraper, Shazam, & Jungle Cruise
The Fast series is my #1 franchise, but I'll admit the Hobbs character lost steam. In Fast 5-7, he was tough, brooding, and menacing, like an anti-hero. But then when you got to Fate of the Furious, he was just doing "The Rock". To me it didn't feel like the same Hobbs from 5-7, same thing to be said for "Hobbs and Shaw" (which I was not a fan of).
I like The Rock, he definitely has charisma and a presence in movies especially the fast and furious film but he needs to get away from doing the typical blockbuster movie because it's just getting repetitive and gives the audience fatigue.
I like The Rock but I think his newer movies aren't really good matter fact they crap I enjoyed Walking Tall and Gridiron Gang and Doom I wish he would do more R rated movies and be edgy
I didn't mind The Rock as a wrestler back In the day he was never my fave but he was part of the magic of the attitude era , outside of that when It comes to feature length movies I never cared for him , neither as a lead or In smaller roles , maybe It's due to the films he picked Idk he just never did It for me In the movie realm. Thank God he didn't remake Big Trouble In Little China , that would've been a disaster.
18:55 He sure did that's a very fun film this coming from a guy who wasn't the biggest fan of the ones from the 70's that Disney made. 19:45 It sure is very boring that was suppose to be a 80's throwback crime film but failed on all counts "Drive"" with Ryan Gosling did that miles better the following year IMHO. 20:32 He was stellar in that film as Luke Hobbs to me that is the final film in the series period. 21:06 I will admit his acting was ok as the lead but it needed way better pacing. 21:35 That's a film that caught me by surprise he was very funny in that R rated crime comedy/drama. 23:17 I will say to me that's the only funny ass heartfelt film that I enjoyed both The Rock&Kevin Hart in together. 25:56 "Rampage" was just a time waster to me also. 28:35 I actually rather watch the "Skyscraper" film from the 90's with Anna Nicole Smith R.I.P instead LOL. 29:08 A piss poor wannabe "Tango&Cash" buddy film which I was never the biggest fan of because unlike Sly&Kurt The Rock&Jason Statham have no on screen chemistry no funny back&fourth together. 34:45 My point exactly bro he does need to take a long break for a while at least about 2 or 3 years.
His best movie is Rundown, my favourite movie as a kid
I still think there's time for him to do some R-rated action films which I'd love for him to transition to.

Yea I agree alot of his movie's are becoming so much the same
The Rock has been reduced to a meme nowadays
Haha hillarious Good one I do agree The Rock does do the same thing over & over again but I Love The Rock he’s one a my favorite Black actors just needs to make more R Rated Action Films
I agree The Rundown is The Rock’s Best Film
Dwayne should of done movies like Arnold and Stallone badass action movies
I still like the rock and most of his movies mainly because of his days in WWE which was a major part of my life so I have a soft spot for him but he does need to do better. I’ve been saying this for years, he needs to do more R rated films.

I love these type of videos bro I agree with every single thing you said about the man. Epic job on the topic👍👍
I love rock since wwf smackdown and have been fan of his movies all the way ever since but yea dude gets piles of movie scripts thats why hes in every movie! im proud of his career and how far hes come since his wrestling days.

The problem is Hollywood can't make action movies. Theres only a few modern ones

I feel like The Rock can be a good actor if he chooses the right roles. He just seems to choose the opposite a lot of the time

He plays the same dude in every movie. His not an actor, he has no talent
Dwayne could of done comedy movies he was funny as Rock
I like The Rock but I think his newer movies aren't really good matter fact they crap I enjoyed Walking Tall and Gridiron Gang and Doom I wish he would do more R rated movies and be edgy
Dwayne been doing bad and average movies
What movie career? The guy has yet to be involved in anything that qualifies AS a film.

Hey ramboraph4life did you hear about George Wilbur who played Michael Myers passing away that sucks halloween 4 is one of my favorites.
I just heard about it smh rip to him he was my favorite Micheal myers
The rock can’t not act to me and stone cold is a better actor than him
He should go back to wrestling to fight his cousin Roman reigns
Agree 100% 💯
