- Rubber Soul is definitely one of my favorite albums by The Beatles. Michelle is just really fun to play and sing and the bass parts are just too sweet. So we did a quick cover of it.

I would say that this was one of your best arrangements and cover of a Beatles tune. The guitar arrangement, especially where the solo would be, was very well executed, playing both some melody lines, along with some accompaniment and percussive guitar in the mix. Harder to do than most people think. I know, it's tricky for most people. Lital did great on the Bass and backup vocals.

"Sont DES mots". Songs books got it wrong. Even Paul Mccartney use the wrong word when he sing it live. Sont "les" mots sounds a little weird to French people.

@@luctoulouse Je suis belge francophone. Je suis content de pouvoir répondre en français. Ce sera pour moi beaucoup plus facile.
Oui, il y a une nette différence entre LES (article défini) et DES (article indéfini). Je ne vais pas me lancer dans une longue et ennuyeuse explication mais je maintient que, en tant que personne dont le français est la langue maternelle, quand on entend chanté "sont LES mots" dans le contexte de la chanson, cela sonne légèrement "faux" . Ce n'est pas choquant mais on se dit qu'un français aurait employé l'article DES et que cela aurait été plus naturel. De toute façon, dans la version studio Mccartney chante bel et bien "sont DES mots". L'histoire dit qu'i aurait demandé à une certaine Jane Vaughan, professeur de français, de lui trouver cette phrase. Je crois qu'il ne l'avait jamais chanté sur scène jusqu'au années 90. Il est donc très probable que, le français n'étant pas sa langue et pour se rafraichir la mémoire, Paul ait tout simplement consulté un songbook contenant l'erreur et faisant confiance au dit songbook il ait, en toute bonne foi, reproduit l'erreur lors de ses concerts. Encore une fois, ce n'est pas dramatique . Cela ne change pas grand chose aux paroles. La différence est minime mais il en a une et je suis toujours content d'écouter une cover d'un non-francophone ne pas reproduire cette erreur..

Michelle pales in comparison to the exotic beauty of Norwegian Wood off the same album. The problem I think is McCartney is singing this in the wrong key. MIchelle works much better in the hands of a higher resgister (such as you) or a female voice or an instrumental 'mood piece' (see the Hollyridge Strings version).

@@chrismason4224 How many people think Joe Cocker's version of a '*With a Little Help from my Friends' is superior to the Beatles/McCartney version? Did Paul do something wrong? No, they just prefer a different interpretation of the song.
@@hiataki7 I think not many people think Cocker's version is better. Longer sure. But that's quantity over quality.
@@chrismason4224 I much prefer the Beatles version but read through a few dozen comments on Cocker's version. That will change your mind.
