    As a long time Oregon fan, Bo is exceptional. My only worry, for any QB, is that they have a decent O-Line. Bo will play decent football. He won't suck. He has the potential to play elite football and I am leaning towards Bo doing well year one. The irony for me is all the people saying Herbert couldn't throw a deep ball, blah, blah. We all know how wrong those naysayers (who called themselves experts) were. Same people were dissing Bo. Bo will be fine. Not predicting a SuperBowl year one, but I do predict he plays well. Suspect he survives in the long run while multiple others QBs from the draft fail.

      Comparatively few people have actually said that Nix had a bad arm. I read about 2 dozen scouting reports on him, & nearly all of them said his arm was NFL caliber but not elite. That's a fair analysis. A few select people tried to push that idea that he had a poor arm during the draft, but I don't actually remember any credible draft guys singing that tune. None-the-less, this seems to be a straw man narrative the Denver media is wanting to run with, probably because they can read the room in the fan base & like to tell the fans what they want to hear. What none of these media putzes will tell you however, is that the questions about Nix that are legitimate are related to whether he can read NFL defenses, & more to the point...WHEN he will be able to do that.

    Go Bo Go, we are all praying and hoping the football gods smile on us this time at QB. We will be way ahead if Bo can digest the entire playbook, as opposed to how little Russell Wilson apparently knew the playbook. You can see the confidence in Bo's eyes and hear it in the way he speaks. I sense his quiet leadership.

    • @user-zr4km5ns8t
      @user-zr4km5ns8t 26 дней назад +2

      Isn't it amazing? Russell Wilson won more games in his first 10 seasons in the NFL than any QB in history. Yet he was too stupid to memorize a playbook.
      How miraculous.

    • @billbellell9462
      @billbellell9462 26 дней назад

      @@user-zr4km5ns8t It is remarkable. Whatever is Russell Wilson's story he is getting paid enough to play for someone else. I think it was worth the cost to get rid of him. Two-years ago I was praising (yes, I know) Russ and where he was going to take Denver, but he only took us out for an ugly blind date. Then he rode off into the gathering gloom. For the Steelers franchise, I hope for them he does better than in Denver, though I seriously doubt it. The steelers have a more storied franchise than does Denver (5 or 6 SBs won). I say this though my blood runs orange and blue for the Broncos.

    • @user-zr4km5ns8t
      @user-zr4km5ns8t 26 дней назад

      @@billbellell9462 I guess you failed to pick up on the sarcasm. Russell Wilson is one of the smartest PEOPLE...not just quarterbacks...in the NFL. He graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA in only 3 years while in college AND he was simultaneously playing both major college football and minor league baseball. It doenst' end there...he then went & got his maters degree...Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis...not "physical education" or some other jock thing. To do something like that requires an exceptional level of not only raw intelligence, but extreme discipline, not to mention the ability to recall complex information with minimal amounts of time to absorb it.
      Wilson's failed in Denver not because he was stupid, but because he was never the right fit for either coach who he played for. One was an imbecile who had no idea what he was doing. The other never wanted him because he did not choose him. Payton's offense requires a super fast processor who is also a VISUAL learner, not just somebody who can memorize a playbook. We have no idea if Bo Nix can do that yet since he has never had to. The offense he played in at both Oregon & Auburn was one of the very worst for preparing quarterbacks in the NFL. But know this...if Bo Nix achieves even half of what Wilson has in his career, fans will be super impressed & will praise him to the heavens.
      Meanwhile, they will despise Wilson because he wasn't Peyton Manning...& maybe for some other reasons that have virtually nothing at all to do with his performance on the field. Wilson will be in the NFL Hall of Fame. We don't even know if Nix will be a starter in the NFL yet.
      Tap the brake.

    I’ve been a bronco my entire life and the people that say Bo is the best big thing, needs to relax. He doesn’t need to start right away, that’s how you derail a young future player very quickly. Let stidham start and have Zach back him up while Bo learns the playbook. It’s amazing to me how many people think it’s all or nothing

    • @user-zr4km5ns8t

      Nailed it. Bronco fan since 1969 here...I've seen the media do this to a lot of Bronco QBs. The fans eat it up & then when things don't materialize as expected, the first people to jump off the bandwagon are in the media. Mike Klis flat out said Nix will start this year as if he had some sort of crystal ball. Klis was also big on Paxton Lynch starting too. The truth is, Nix has a long way to go before he can be trusted to run what is probably the most complex offense in the NFL & he came from a college system that he was in for 4 of his 5 years that taught him very little in terms of what is valuable for the NFL. The immediate goal for this kid should be exactly what you said...learn the playbook. Jarrett Stidham is going to be a capable starter in 2024. He might even hold Nix off after that. Most people are entirely unaware of the fact that Sean Payton said some very similar things about him when he signed him as the things he's saying now about Nix. There is no reason to rush this kid.

      QBs coming out now are much more prepared to start right away. Coaching/environment matter. I think Nix is in the right place with the right coach/system. Turn him loose!!!

    • @user-zr4km5ns8t
      @user-zr4km5ns8t 26 дней назад

      @@slimslammy27 Based on what? From 50% to 65% of first round drafted rookies fail in the NFL. Much of that is because of the pressure to start as a rookie. It used to be that people were startled when the 1st overall pick in the draft or even a top 10 pick QB was a bust. Not anymore. It's so common we barely notice it. Sam Darnold, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Josh Rosen...Baker Mayield is a journeyman taken #1 overall. Lance went to the 49ers...some of the best offensive coaching in the league. The idea that every 1st rounder is going to do what CJ Stroud did is a pipe dream that almost never happens. It's not just about where they are heading to...even though that is huge...it's also about where they came FROM. Very few of these college programs are even attempting to prepare these guys for the NFL. Nix was in a system at Auburn & Oregon that's as bad as Baylor's is for that. Don't be surprised if he is not ready as a rookie.

      @@slimslammy27 that’s the most arrogant statement I’ve ever read. If we did it how you wanted, we’d have another rg3 situation and you’d be screaming about the coaches. We need a year or 2 of mediocre football before Bo should be turned into something. College and nfl are extremely different, especially playing against elite defenses. If he’s our future, then we should protect him until he’s ready. Rodgers sat behind Favre, young sat behind Montana. You’re nonsense

    Training camp - everyone thinks that their team is going to the Super Bowl, all their draft picks are all-pro, every new QB is going to be the next Mahomes or Brady.
